Can anyone tell me if you can book fo rthe restaurant in the Italy Pavilion after August 31st? We want to go there in December and don't know what to ask for?

it closes on August 31 with the new one opening September 1... so it looks to me like no interruption of service.

Note that it says the real new restaurant won't open until later next year and it'll be something more generic in the meantime.

I tried making ADR's for 9/28/07 and was told that after 8/31/07 they were not making any ADR's for this restaurant as they are closing.

Interesting, maybe they changed their decision of leaving it open until the new official restaurant is up and running.. I will let those who do content on the Dis know about what you found when you called and maybe they can look into it.

I called today to try to make Dec reservations and told it was not open. But I read somewhere about a new name of Tutto Italia. Any updates on this? Should I ask for that when calling about an ADR?

Here is the scoop:

Alfredo's is closing Friday, August 31 and will reopen on Saturday, September 1 as Tutto Italia.

Then in the Spring of 2008 Tutto Italia will close for a major refurb and reopen in the Fall of 2008 with a new name.

I think they're just not accepting regular reservations yet for whatever reason.

That was my experience, as well (Reservation in conjunction with Candlelight only).

Umm, ladies and gents can you all tell me something. I read somewhere that somewhere in italy they will be selling italian desserts. I thought I heard it was something new, or am I wrong??

As of now, there is not a "dessert only" place in Italy... the only eating establishment is Alfredo's (soon to be Tutto Italia). Now, France on the other hand has a wonderful bakery with yummy desserts. I don't know of plans for one of these in Italy... maybe someone else does?
