Is Italy a good place to watch Illuminations? I read that they are offering the wrist bands again this year in the Chase lounge and the VIP seating is in Italy. Not sure if this is a good place to view from or if we should just try to stake out our own spot.

Good location, out by the gondola boats.

Yes, that area is often roped off and used for
private events (like VIP viewing.)

If we do this should we go to the chase lounge first thing in the day to see if they have the wristbands?

DH and I were there Monday. There were plenty of wristbands left when we got ours in mid afternoon, but that was on a 'recommended' park day. I'd go earlier if crowds were predicted to be heavy, especially on a weekend. I loved the viewing location. We got there just after 8 for a 9 o'clock show and staked out a spot by the railing. I've never been so close to the action!

How did I miss the info about chase card members getting wrist bands for VIP viewing!!! How does this work exactly? Me and my husband are card holders but we will be traveling with our 2 sons and and FIL& MIL. Will we all be able to get bands??

When we have gone in July this area is normally a roped off "special" area but this September we watched from the bridge and it was a great view
