After reading the threads on these bracelets I went to the Carina website and fell in love with these type of bracelets an ordered myself 2, one with hearts and one with laser etched hearts. I had never heard of these before and now I am hooked.

After all the help from the YaYa Sisters a few days ago, I ordered mine yesterday from dollsandducks.com. They seemed to have great prices and no shipping or sales tax for PA.

Mine has a shiney Disney base with the 18k Mickey logo (the 3 circle thing-ee)and 2 18k dots to go on either side (a little more affordable than 2 more Disney charms ) The best part, is that my brother was at EPCOT on Wednesday and picked me up a surprise charm too. I'll get that Saturday when he visits for our dad's b-day.

My husband is going to kill me...something else to collect. Oh well at least it's more affordable than my last addiction which was Tiffany's silver jewlry But nothing will beat my ultimate addiction...WDW VACATION PLANNING of course

Darn you all. I checked out that link the other day too and ended up buying a starter with "several" charms.

I'd been looking at these for months, but hadn't acted upon my urge.

Got the e-mail today that it shipped via UPS this morning.

Could someone explain to me how these charms work. How many do you need to make a bracelet? Do you buy a starter and then add on? Is the starter big enough to wear right away? Is it easy to attach the charms? Is there a special tool? Thanks!

Nicsmom, the average person with medium sized wrists would use about 18 to 21 charms (18 is 7 inches and 21 is 8 inches) depending on how loose you like it. I have tiny wrists and use about 17 or 18 charms because I like it very loose.

Usually starter bracelets are 14 charms in length. If you like you can just add blank starter charms to start you off for usually about $.50 for shiny, $1 for matte, and $1.5 to $2 for special designs.

Thanks for the info. I think I get it now. I love them and I must have them. I checked out eBay and they have many to choose from. I also found a Disney starter bracelet for 7.50. (see link below). Are you familiar with this site? or bracelet? On eBay some of the charms are stamped with Disney, not Walt Disney Collection (which is on the bracelet). Are they the same? Will the charms fit on this bracelet?

The ones stamped "Disney" are NOT the same....so be careful.
Those the the less expensive ones ($3). They do fit on the bracelets, but aren't as good a quality.
Some have been known to break while putting them on the bracelet.

And on ebay....make sure you know what you're bidding on....not all charms are created equal.
