It was to be a SURPRISE trip, but I blew it May 2012 PTR (New May 9 )

Not that there was ever any doubt, mind you, but it's so gratifying to see you've raised that girl right!

Why thank you:hug:

Oh that would have been so fantastic, wouldn't it!!!

I know, right?

Amen! Of course it's on your diet! EVERYTHING that can potentially be eaten is on your diet. What most folks fail to realize is that you can have 2K calories at a meal if you want to. You just have to trade off somewhere else and/or get more exercise in.

Of course, that doesn't mean you can eat like I did yesterday (everything in sight, all day long) on a continual basis. But I got my run in yesterday (barely.... that witch that shares a body with me was very vocal about wanting to quit yesterday but I beat her down and finished my mile) and I'm going walking over at the Wilderness Lodge with a group I found on Meetup.com today. So hopefully I'll burn off most of the stuff I ate yesterday.

But that's what folks don't realize. Of course it's on your diet (whatever "it" is). It's just that you're smarter about what it takes for it to be allowed on your diet.

Okay... I'll shut up now. Let's go back to living in Disney's fantasy world where a princess can eat whatever the heck she wants, laze around all day without exercising at all (I hate working out!) and never gain an ounce!

You know... kind of like a teenager!

Oh and EXCELLENT news on the flight prices. Wow! Wasn't that like a $400 difference in just a couple of weeks?

I went last Saturday to get my hair cut and colored and my hairdresser went on and on about how I looked like someone shrink wrapped me....she totally made my day! One of my girls at work just came back from being away for 2 weeks and she noticed...so that always gives me motivation to keep going!

Yes I paid 523 and now it was 923:woohoo:

Love the idea of a DTD morning and a pool afternoon. :thumbsup2

That is why I adore longer stays too....it let's you have the freedom to sleep in, enjoy down time and do whatever else you decide on a whim. Cause there's so many days to get all the must dos in. :goodvibes
We really are so lucky that we do get to go for a longer stay and I never take it for granted! You never know when things can change!
I am so proud of you for going to the gym.
You will make your goal by doing just what you are doing...making time.
Can you believe it's going to be `19 today and tomorrow 28...Jasmine and I will be walking outside today and tomorrow....I can't remember the last time I saw 28 in March!
I'm inspired. I should try the morning workouts cause the evenings are not working for me.
Like you some days I have to stay late or cover for someone and stay all day.
And being heavy I'm tired too.
I really got back into the gym about 2 years ago...in the summer months, it's all outside, but in the winter there is no way I'm walking outside when it's 40 below:rotfl2: I feel so great all day after my morning workout...it really is the best if you can work it in!
I can't wait to see your shopping pics. No matter how many things I buy at WDW, there always seems to be more that show up.
I like buying towels. We have quite the collection going. We got a really cute AK one on the last trip.
The last towel I bought at Disney was Captain Jack....:lovestruc
Take Care, sounds like we both are busy these days. Vacation time can't come any to soon. ;)
Too busy for my liking but what can you do:confused3
Hello Queen! :wave2:

Hope all is going well for you, and I hope you are getting the same beautiful spring-like weather we are getting! :flower3: I was just going to comment that we went last May and the weather was really beautiful, not too hot and mostly sunny every day. Of course with the way temps are up a bit right now in March, who knows how it'll be this year!

Well anyway, just wanted to stop in and give you a bump :goodvibes Talk to you soon!

 Carla

Hey Carla!

We are having the most amazing weather...it is absolutely gorgeous out. I am planning on a little spring cleaning today because I can open all the windows! I was just talking to my sister and we were both saying if the weather continues like this we'll have an amzing summer!

Thanks for the bump:hug:

Good Saturday morning everyone! I have been neglecting my reports these last two weeks but work was taking all my spare time! I delivered my last performance review yesterday so things should slow down a bit now!

This post brings me to our May 24 day which we will be spending in AK! AK has grown on me more and more since our first visit in 1998! I know we'll make the mad dash to get FP's for EE, then we'll ride standby just because we're there and we can:lmao: Jasmine will probably beg me to ride KRR which I will hopefully be able to talk her out of until we're ready to head back to the resort, unless it's an extremely hot day, then I don't mind so much! My hair will look lovely but the hey, we're in Disney!

For those of you who know me well, you know we'll take in at least one show of FOTLK...I am hoping to get two in because I love it that much! I took the car in for an oil change this morning and I popped the disc in and sang the whole way there....good thing Jasmine stayed at home or I would have been getting the look:lmao:

We always do KS and Dinosaur but this year after reading Mary Ellens account of Flights of Wonder and her beautiful pictures, I have put it on our list. Another thing we added was Pangani...I can't wait to do that!

Instead of our usual evening meal we decided to have lunch at Yak and Yeti! We quite enjoyed it the last time we were there and considering this is our only day at AK I thought it would give us a mid - day break so we can enjoy more park in the afternoon!

Not sure what time we'll head back to the resort but I am thinking we'll hit MK in the evening! I love the MK in the evening....heck I love it anytime! We have no ride plans for the MK just wandering around and enjoying ourselves...maybe take in the parade and Wishes! I can't be at the MK and not stake our claim to watch Wishes....always makes me weep!

The weather is amazing here too! 19 today and 23 tomorrow!!! Who needs to go to Florida for spring break....

I see you are doing an update...I'll be back...after I catch up. ;)

Ahhh. AK is so gorgeous! I love Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo the Musical! (Don't worry...I play those Cd's in the car too.)

We saw Flights of Wonder in the Fall and we just loved it. You will probably laugh a lot at the corny jokes...we did. The birds were beautiful.

I'm sure you will enjoy your lunch at Yak & Yetti. There are tons of people who rave about the place.
Our family on the other hand have nicknamed this 'Yuck n Yetti'....LOL (no offence intended) We did not care for it as you can see.

Have a great weekend! I'm off to work. Going to close tonight so my younger staff can go out and party for St.Pat's Day. Yes I am a good boss.

Yeah for an update! :cool1:

Your AK day sounds like fun! I hope you like the Flights of Wonder show. I think if you sit closer to the back its cool because you have a better view of the birds flying into the crowd. Who knows, maybe you can volunteer to hold that dollar bill!

I also hope you love the Pangani trail.

One word for KRR - PONCHO!

I am definitely seeing FOTLK this summer! :thumbsup2

FOTLK is really amazing. I always end up singing along and feeling just overjoyed when I'm watching that show. Bubba seems to get sick of it after a while but it never gets old with me! I could sing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" until I'm blue in the face. You said you had a CD of the music from the show?! I must find this!!!

You got my favorite things at AK! I love EE and FOTLK! We did Flights of Wonder a few years ago and were surprised that we enjoyed it as much as we did!

As far as the KRR--we rode it in 2005 and haven't done it since! My DH had to go to the restroom and literally wring out his clothes! lol!

I am like you in that AK just continues to grow on me. On our most recent trip I think we enjoyed it more than any of the other parks. (all the construction going on in the MK takes away some of the magic IMO)

Yak and Yeti :thumbsup2

Wishes is a perfect ending to any day :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Enjoy your weekend :goodvibes

I love FOTLK! And I have to mention this: my new favorite thing is to do a lunch in the parks for a break.

Your AK plans look great! I love that park!

Great AK plans!! I love that park. :goodvibes YES, you must do Flights of Wonder. I don't particularly care for birds but it is a really fun show. And you'll have to look for baby Lily on the Pangani trail. OK, now you're making me want to go to DAK...

Flights of Wonder is a must do for us every trip! It might be one of dh's favorites.

It does help motivation when others make comments. Keep up the hard work. I know the nice weather is helping me; I hope you are continuing to have a great stretch too.

That boost sure does help you keep on. I can't wait to see!

This post brings me to our May 24 day which we will be spending in AK!

I didn't see you mention Nemo. Not something you like?

I enjoyed FoW when I finally saw it. It's not something I'll be doing over and over again but it's cute.

Love the AK plans!
I love Flights of Wonder, and the Pangani trail, both are so relaxing.
We also do the EE dash for fastpasses and then ride it standby, often twice if it's really empty!
I also love FotLK. I listen to the music home too. :)

FOTLK is the best thing about Animal Kingdom, in my opinion. EE and KS are both fantastic attractions, but nothing gets your heart singing like FOTLK....

Overall, your AK day sounds great. :wizard:

Hi Queen,
I'm so behind here, and I was catching up on your TR and followed your link here and what a surprise. We will be at DW at the same time. We will only be there 1 and 1/2 days before our cruise.

Going back to catch up on the rest of the details.

Okay, I'm back!!! Feels like I've been gone forever.

Skinny little things crack me up when they gain a few pounds. I have the same reaction. Um, I need to lose a lot more than that! You can keep your few pounds!

Can't wait to hear more about your plans. Good lookin' out having a shopping list already. I always have those before I leave. Can't forget anything.

Sorry I missed your update (we were out of town with the newly engaged couple). I LOVE AK; it really has become my third favorite park, leaving DHS way in the dust. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm with you, I could see FOTLK twice on a visit -- it is that good. Too bad you won't have Cayley as your lion though.

I want to go back to Yak & Yeti in September and hoping to fit it in.

The weather is amazing here too! 19 today and 23 tomorrow!!! Who needs to go to Florida for spring break....
How lucky have we been;)

Perfect...glad it's not just me!
We saw Flights of Wonder in the Fall and we just loved it. You will probably laugh a lot at the corny jokes...we did. The birds were beautiful.
I can't wait to take it in....something new for this trip that I am really looking forward to!
I'm sure you will enjoy your lunch at Yak & Yetti. There are tons of people who rave about the place.
Our family on the other hand have nicknamed this 'Yuck n Yetti'....LOL (no offence intended) We did not care for it as you can see.
The only time we've ever eaten here was in 2009 and we all loved it....but I have heard so many people say they had the same experience as you did:confused3

As I was reading your post...I thought the next time Jeff comes along I am so taking him to FoW...can you imagine how much fun that will be for the rest of us:lmao:

FOTLK is really amazing. I always end up singing along and feeling just overjoyed when I'm watching that show. Bubba seems to get sick of it after a while but it never gets old with me! I could sing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" until I'm blue in the face. You said you had a CD of the music from the show?! I must find this!!!

I could never get sick of it...I just love it sooooooooooooo much:lovestruc I can buy the CD for you when we're there and ship it out to you....just let me know if you would like me to do that:goodvibes

I hear ya on the clothes situation....same thing happened to us....everytime I ride:confused3

Yak and Yeti :thumbsup2

Wishes is a perfect ending to any day :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Enjoy your weekend :goodvibes
I was thinking about all that construction and it really does take away some of the magic, that's for sure!

Hope you enjoyed St Paddy's Day and that you all had a marvelous weekend!

I love FOTLK! And I have to mention this: my new favorite thing is to do a lunch in the parks for a break.

Your AK plans look great! I love that park!
I am excited to have as many lunch ADR's as we do for this upcoming trip!
Great AK plans!! I love that park. :goodvibes YES, you must do Flights of Wonder. I don't particularly care for birds but it is a really fun show. And you'll have to look for baby Lily on the Pangani trail. OK, now you're making me want to go to DAK...
Ok...it's on my list:thumbsup2I can't wait to see baby Lily...all the pics I have seen she is just adorable! I know...I want to go right now too!!
Flights of Wonder is a must do for us every trip! It might be one of dh's favorites.

It does help motivation when others make comments. Keep up the hard work. I know the nice weather is helping me; I hope you are continuing to have a great stretch too.
I am so happy to hear that...I can't wait to do it!

You got that right sista! I gave her a great tip that day;)

I went last Saturday to get my hair cut and colored and my hairdresser went on and on about how I looked like someone shrink wrapped me....she totally made my day! One of my girls at work just came back from being away for 2 weeks and she noticed...so that always gives me motivation to keep going!

That boost sure does help you keep on. I can't wait to see!

Keep in mind that I had to loose the 15 that I gained (after I saw you) after my mom passed away...but I sure hope to be down enough that you notice!

I didn't see you mention Nemo. Not something you like?
Never seen it....should I?
I enjoyed FoW when I finally saw it. It's not something I'll be doing over and over again but it's cute.
Good to know...thanks girl!

Sounds like we have the same plans when we hit that park! I think I'll be buying a back up FOTLK disc this trip....don't know what I would do if something happened to mine, probably go into withdrawal~
FOTLK is the best thing about Animal Kingdom, in my opinion. EE and KS are both fantastic attractions, but nothing gets your heart singing like FOTLK....

In my opinion too...obviously great minds think alike! LOL Thanks hon:hug:

It feels like you've been gone forever! Missed ya girl! Skinny little things actually annoy me when they say those things:lmao:
Sorry I missed your update (we were out of town with the newly engaged couple). I LOVE AK; it really has become my third favorite park, leaving DHS way in the dust. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm with you, I could see FOTLK twice on a visit -- it is that good. Too bad you won't have Cayley as your lion though.

I want to go back to Yak & Yeti in September and hoping to fit it in.

That's a very good reason for missing an update...they are so darn cute in their picture! I wish Cayley could be our lion too! We are really looking forward to our lunch there and I think we've both decided to try something different this time!

A friend of mine sometimes complains that after having two kids, she can't wear size two anymore and has to buy size four. :rotfl: I'd be thrilled to be a size four!

I love the Festival of the Lion King, too. The tumble monkeys and the fire guy and the flying birds and the amazing music. I'd love to watch it twice, too.

Yak and Yeti sounds like a great lunch break. We used to use indoor lunches for an afternoon break, too. It's just the right amount of rest and relaxation with minimal park time wasted.

Size 4....wow....I don't know if I was a size 4 when I was born:lmao:

The tumble monkey's are my absolute favorite and Jasmine's is the bird lady as she calls her! She is so graceful and elegant when she is performing!

We are looking forward to a bit of a break and then do a little more of the park! Since it's our only day there we're hoping to get everything in that we can:yay:
