It Was the Best of Times & the Worst, But It Was the Best Trip Evah!

The girls were so excited to see the characters. They really got into getting autographs. It was so funny how Bob didn't want to be around the characters. He would go get more to eat when they came around.

One thing that I forgot to mention was the fact that when Anne & the girls had gone to the MK the day before there were no Halloween decorations up. The next day when we went to MK after Chef Mickey's all of the Halloween things were there. They were amazed to see that!

I love the magic of disney. I bet that is really fun when it happens with the Christmas decorations.

I know, how cool is that, to have those decorations appear overnight!

That Key Lime Martini was so good, tasted just like key lime pie. The thing that I notice with drinks at the restaurant is that they seem weak on alcohol. The bars at the resorts, especially the pool bars seem to be much stronger. N
Love that about them!

MMM that martini looks good! Definitely helps make the grandma be much more relaxed! :thumbsup2

WE did CM's for breakfast once, and it was good. It was DS's 3rd birthday, so he really got into it. I think it depends who you have in your room as for how energetic the group is. We were at 8:30 breakfast, so everyone was raring to go for the day!

I think you are right. Nothing worse than spending good money and good calories on a drink that has next to no alcohol. What's the point? :confused3

We got our first photo of many at the MK .

Karin, that's ok, I've been pretty slow myself! :thumbsup2

I was trying to do an update today & only got part of it done. Photo Bucket froze up & that was the end of my updating today.:sad1:

Our first magic photo, as you can see it wasn't so magic!:lmao:
Disney2011045.jpg

We had to make a stop to purchase a balloon for Kelly. She really wanted a Princess one.

If I had it to do over, I would have waited until we were leaving the MK to buy that balloon! It was a pain to deal with when riding!

Thanks. I was getting as many Photopass pictures as I could. My DIL & I shared the cost of the Photopass. It was a great bargain. I want to make a Christmas card with one of the photos.

Kelly's first magic photo turned out like our's was supposed to!

Anne & the girls.
Disney2011055.jpg

We headed to the Haunted Mansion for our first ride of the night. We didn't need any FPs. The standby wait was about 15minutes. I really liked the interactive things in the queue. The girls had so much fun playing with the noise making stuff!

We get inside the mansion & we have that darned balloon to deal with. The CM was very nice & told us that we could leave it with them. So we were off, but I hit a snag! I had to force my Kelly onto that ride. She was crying, no I don't want to ride. She was so scared of that HM & I felt like a monster!
Her mother insisted they had to ride sobs be damned! I talked all the way through the ride telling her that it was just puppets & so on. I felt so horrible that I had to take her on that ride. Her sister was not too thrilled either, but at least she wasn't crying. If that had been my daughter instead of DIL, I would have given her what for. With a DIL one has to tread easily!:rolleyes1

We decided to head over to TomorrowLand for the rest of the evening. This is terrible, but I can't remember what we did next. Anne & the girls went into Monsters Inc. floor show. We couldn't take the balloon inside, had to leave it outside the closed doors. Well after paying $9 for a balloon, I was not going to leave it there. So Bob & I waited outside until they came out. It was raining a bit by that time, but we were under a shelter & it felt good to sit for awhile. While we waited I got my first ever FP! We used it for Buzz.

They came out & Buzz Lightyear was next. The CMs kept the balloon for us & the shoot fest began. I outgunned Bob why a wide margin! It was the best I'd ever done, my score was 444,548; his was a little over 25,000! Whoo hooo!

After this we headed towards the bridge to watch Wishes.

I was starting to drag a bit, but I was not going to miss the new thing with the photos projected on the castle.

My DH took all of these photos. I was using the video camera. We were standing right under where Tink came sliding down the wire. I didn't realize that there was a live Tinker bell that slid from the top of the castle! That was so amazing to us, we were always too far away to see her clearly.

It was time to make our way out through the masses of humanity to leave plus keep the girls close to us. There was an incident that upset Bob & he is still PO'd about today.

There was a couple that were riding mobility carts. There were no health issues as Bob had seen them earlier hopping on & off the carts doing things. The carts were loaded down with bags of purchases. They just didn't want to walk like the rest of the crowd. These two were probably around 30. Anyway the husband was trying to push his way through the crowd by nudging people out of his way with the cart!:scared1: Bob was so mad with these two, so rude. It would have been different if they were really handicapped in some way, but AFAIK they weren't!

We made back to CBR totally worn out. We were getting out early in the morning for EMH at the MK. Lots of Pixie Dust was coming our way!

Oh How well I know what A PAIN the Baloons can be and we had 2 of them !!!!:scared1:I can't tell you how many times they got tangled up as we walked around :sad2:But the Girls LOVED them !!!

We have had several of those magic shots not turn out! The silliest one is the hang gliding characters at Epcot. You are posed all squatted down and looking up, pointing, and then you get the picture and you are looking and pointing at nothing...

Just so you know for next time...If you are missing a magic shot or any pictures at all you can email photopass and they will find them and or add them. I have had that problem the last 3 trips and everytime it was fixed

:goodvibes Doris - I'll be back to read your update when I can see pics!

Great pics! Although you look a little grumpy in a couple? :confused3 Mabye DH just caught you at the wrong moment?

We also loved the Haunted Mansion queue line, but you have to go the one way to get to the fun stuff...

I HATE the balloons at MK! They cost a fortune - most around $10, and unless you have a stroller to tie them to, you're stuck figuring things out in a lot of locations!
