It was beautiful

Well, after more than a year of planning and countless revisions to the BEO, our DD's wedding is over. In the end, it was beautiful and went just as planned. Marion (DD's coordinator) did an outstanding job of running the show. I have to say that the last weeks leading up to the wedding were pretty stressful. Marion's assistant is a sweetheart, but apparently overworked as she couldn't quite get the budget figured out correctly. Wrong number of tables/guests/events that weren't ours included, items missing or incorrect. Finally I went through it line-by-line and helped her, so that we could get our final payment in.

The major complaint I have is that since Disney does this every day, why should there be so much confusion? I really started to wonder as it got to be two weeks before the wedding and things were still wrong in the paperwork. Disney is known for the "Disney Details" but Fairy Tale Weddings sure missed quite a few. In the end though it was beautiful, and DD said it was even better than she hoped. What more can you say?

Also - to those brides who read these boards, be aware that the "surprises" that some brides have reported on (chocolate covered strawberries and the special wedding watches) apparently are not guaranteed as DD didn't receive them, even though she had a custom.

After all is said and done, it was great and I would do it again in a minute.

wow congratulations to your DD. Im glad everything turned out great. I had never heard of the chocolate covered strawberries perk, and thought the custom watches were mainly for intimates and the select few customs-- so she wasnt the only one who missed out-- lots of brides do! All customs do get the AP's though-- which is a nice gift IMO. Tell your DD to come on here and post a TR-- we would love to hear about her experience-- and you post one as well

Thanks everyone, I will post a trip report in the near future. It really was a nice wedding. Pictures are still about 2 wks out, but I will post if DD gives me the ok.

BTW, if anyone is on the fence about having Mickey and Minnie, go for it. We were all adults, but everyone loved them. They really got the party going!
