MGM today. Woke up and poor Ric wasn't feeling great so I went down to the Beach Club Marketplace to fetch brekkie for us, hot chocolate and Ham and Cheese omelettes on a croissant. Not all that nice to be honest and about $16.
Ric decided to stay back at the hotel and I headed off to MGM where I would meet up with him later. I was going to get the boat from the Beach Club but just missed one. I decided to walk as it was a beautiful Florida morning, I couldn't work out which path to take so only got as far as the Swan/Dolphin and got the next boat. Arrived at the turnstiles for opening at 8.50 and cut through the shops on Hollywood Boulevard to get close to the front of the crowd. At rope drop I got a fastpass for Tower of Terror and then got to Rock and Roller Coaster as fast as I could. I managed to get in the first car and even in the first row. I will never get fed up with RNR it really is the best with that fast take off WOOSH!!
After RNR I walked back over to TOT and had approx 10 minutes wait in the standby line. TOT is my favourite even though I am terrified every time I go on it. It was now 9.45 so I got another fastpass for RNR and went to meet Ric as we had arranged. I waited and waited. I was panicing that I had missed him or gone to the wrong place. We didn't have mobile phones with us and I do wonder how we ever managed without them. Eventually he arrived and we went to do the Great Movie Ride which was fun as usual, we got the gangster version. The plan was then to go and get fastpasses for the 2.45 show of Lights Motors Action. When we got there the fastpass machines were down and they were letting people in for the 11.50 show so we decided to go for it. This is a great stunt show and we both really liked it. After LMA we went to meet Sorceror Mickey himself and then went to play Millionaire which I will really miss. Neither of us got in the hot seat but we had fun as always. We then had a look around Walt Disney - One Man's Dream which was really interesting and something I hadn't seen before. We had enjoyed Beaches and Cream the day before so walked back to the Beach Club to try our luck for a table again which didn't take long. Ric had a strawberry milkshake and I had a mango smoothie and we shared a grilled chicken sandwich this came to $15 . We spent the rest of the day at Stormalong Bay, the fantastic pool area, and just chilled.
This evenings ADR was within easy strolling distance, Spoodles at the Boardwalk. Our ADR was at 7pm and we were seated in a couple of minutes. We ordered a pitcher of Sangria and then I had shrimp to start and Ric had some kind of lamb. For our main course I had the NEw York Strip and Ric had rigatoni. We then shared a dessert platter. All the food here was really really delicious however the service was very very rushed which spoiled things a bit.
We walked back to the Beach Club past a juggler who was very entertaining and had an early night as we had an early breakfast with Pooh the next morning.
