9/11/01 was a Tuesday.
It was the perfect September day.
My daughter had the day off.
My son was living in Florida.
My husband was working.
It was 3 more weeks until I went to Disney World.
It was 2 weeks since Id seen the Everly Brothers.
My mother was still alive.
My birthday was the day before.
It was 9 a.m. and I was still in my PJs and working on the computer.
My mother called and told me things I could not believe.
The TV stayed on all day and into the night.
9/14/01 was a Friday.
A message circulated on the Internet.
Go outside that night with flags and candles.
I went to an auction early in the evening.
Around 9 p.m. I left.
On the way home I started to see a few people.
Then more, then groups, then crowds!
I cried in my car.
When I got home I went to my neighbors.
And at the corner of my street it was just me
Then there was more, then a group, then a crowd!
9/11/04 is a Saturday.
Life has gone on but we should NEVER forget.
Pray for those who died and suffer.
Respect those who serve our country
Always remember what happened that day.
The day that innocence was lost and life changed.
Live life to the fullest and cherish it always.
Because 9/11 was a Tuesday and the perfect September day.
