It Used To Be A "PS"...Now its an "ADR"...Samething?

A PS used to mean "Priority Seating" NOT a True Reservation.....

Are ADR'S now a TRUE Reservation?

Funny thing though, when I've called to make my ADR's, the CM's at DD are all confused when I say I'm calling to make my ADR's. They're like "Excuse me?" "You want to make what?".....come on people, you work there, you're supposed to know the terminoligy! Oh well, got the times and places I wanted, so what if I'm smarter than they are

Yeah, in reality, they're just "dining reservations". However, they work like reservations work at most casual dining reservations in metro areas nationwide now: priority seating, nothing more.

Again (and as usual), bicker's right. They are now called simply "dining reservations" and actually have been since some time last year. They all mean the same thing: arrive five or ten minutes early and check in at the podium, you will then be seated at the next available table for your size party at/after your reservation time but before walkups (if any are even being accepted)

Actually, someone at WDW finally figured out that saying "advanced" dining reservations was redundant. All reservations, by their nature, are made in advance.
I still use the term Priority seating, and everyone there seems to know what I'm talking about.

you actually won't have much luck using abbreviations for anything with cast members. i'd like to think they're deliberately trained not to understand them since there are at least a few that could have multiple meanings.

i ask for reservations or just ask to check availability (they know why you're calling).. but i think even if you said dining reservations, asking for CM's won't get you very far (but i can't say i try). the most abbreviated i get is Cindy's for CRT, but I'm not even sure on that one.
