I think it was very nice of the op to store the neighbors gifts. If I was having guests over I wouldn't want other people in the house either--my family all live out of state and if they come to visit that's what my focus is on. People seem to be forgetting the op has stored the stuff happily for a month -- if the neighbors wanted it done at their convenience they should have rented a storage locker. the neighbors could wrap the gifts and keep them in their car for awhile. I assumed they wanted them hidden so no little ones would find them--but goodness they could get them for a few hours and not mess up the op's own Christmas plans.

I don't see anyone forgetting that.

Um, you have been more than accomodating. If the gifts have been there since a little after Thanksgiving, they have had ample time for at least 1 of them come over and wrap the presents. That is a little last minute.

I'm on the OP's side on this one. I've stored gifts for others and I've also stored big gifts at neighbors but NEVER had this issue. That's because we all understood that it's up to the person asking the favor to make it convenient for the favor giver.

I also agree about the house size. There's no way people coming over to wrap gifts could NOT be an interuption in my house. Picking them up would not be a big deal, but coming in and wrapping them? Weird. That should have been done ions ago.

They aren't mad at the OP really, they're mad at their own poor planning.

Eh, I would have been a little ticked too, but I would probably have called them a few days ago to nail down a time for them to come over since everyone is busy this time of year.

I also would not have minded in the least if they came over while I had company over.

And in all seriousness, you really need to tone down what you stress over-trust me, they way you think things will go when you have your child, and how they will actually go are two entirely different things.
