I just checked several weather forecast websites...

it seems like the consensus of the weather for my trip will be

Sunday: Morning showers :(

Monday: A few showers in the evening :( bye-bye Fantasmic (I've bought the dinner package)

Tuesday: A few showers in through-out the day :( bye-bye Wishes

Wednesday: Partly sunny (this one is okay, plan for Illumination)
Thursday: Cloudy, chance of rain
Friday: Cloudy, chance of rain (my back-up day for Wishes)

on top of that, my daughter, the only reason for me going to WDW, is coming down with a cold.

sigh... I waited six years for a vacation and I'm seeing this on the horizon. What a disappointment.

Don't despair! I was there a few weeks ago and the forecast was rain, rain, rain. It only rained for one day (not a park day, thank goodness).

:bounce: Don't freek out yet. We leave on Sunday and I've tracked weather the last three weeks and then during each day. The weather has been much better each day that the long term forcasts predict.:sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Think positive. And WDW is still the most magical place in the world, even in the rain. Most of the rides are covered, and on days when there are just scattered showers, Wishes might still happen. You never know, it's all in the timing. And if it does rain, even if it's just sprinkles, crowds are usually lower:D . Just keeping thinking sunny thoughts; this time of year the weather is always changing.

Oh, don't worry! I've lived in Florida all my life - there's always a chance of rain - good thing is that it rarely will last all day.
I'm going next week myself, and I've been tracking the forecast as well just to know what to pack. The only day that I've think you've got anything to worry about is Sunday morning. Unless it's above 50% chance of rain, I don't worry about it. The rest of the week really doesn't look that bad. I think you'll have a great time.

My advice: take extra shoes! Especially something for everyone that does well in the rain. Our shoes were the only things that hampered us in the rain. They alos hampered our wallet when we had to buy new shoes for two of our kids because their's were far to wet to wear even the next day. To quote my oldest "If I only had flip flops on!" Which was interesting because I had insisted on NO sandals of any type because I wanted them all in strong comfortable shoes.

Rain WILL reduce the crowds and can make for a very enjoyable day if you are prepared.

I just returned last night and the extended forcasts had predicted showers or rain for every day of my visit. We didn't have any rain and one morning it sprinkled for about a minute or two. Bring rain ponchos so you are prepared for rain, but don't worry about it. Just watch the forcast on the tv every evening and then decide if you should bring the ponchos to the park teh following day. I had a stroller so I was able to just keep them in the stroller basket the entire trip.

Looks like the forcast has changed for the better! Only rain on Sunday and Partly cloudy or clear for the rest of the week!
Have a great time :)

I've been tracking weather for while. I think this week is actually looking pretty good, considering what it could be? The only day the possibility of rain goes any higher than 30% is Sunday...AM I just being niave...?? Could be, but think positive.....that's how I'm looking at it. Besides even if it does rain during my first ever visit to WDW, I'm gettin wet.

P.S. Hope DD gets well soon.....

have fun....

We'll be at WDW in two days (fly in on Monday). I'd love to wear my shorts and tevas during the day but am afraid it might be too chilly. (I'm use to touring in July!).

What do you think - if it doesn't rain more than a few sprinkles, will it be warm enough? :sunny: or :umbrella:

We're leaving tomorrow too. YEA!!!

Looks like the weather is looking better.

Have fun everyone!!

I think we are going to be fine. I will be there Thurs - Sunday and I am packing jeans, capris and a pair of shorts. A couple of Tees and a sweater round out the carryon.

See you there this weekend!
