It must be a sickness...I can't stay away from Poly...

Well it all started out with a quick 4 night trip to celebrate my 30th bday. A POR $99 code was a pleasant surprise. Then I was thinking about the CR $167/standard. that isn't too much more. and I have monorail access. mmnn...so when I go to call, all they had left for the AP rate was $205 at CR. so I'm like, heck, for $20 more bucks I will go stay at my home/poly..... Really it is bad when you fall in love with a place so much that you can't stay anywhere else. oh well thanks for letting me vent!

I am far from wealthy, but seeing as how my Oct. WDW trip is my one big vacation of the year, I didn't even question the Poly rate my AAA TA quoted me. I love the place, and I'm going, can't and won't stay anywhere but the Poly, just a personal choice. Five months to go, I can't dance yet, in fact, I'm pretty much at a crawl.

Personally, I think there are subliminal messages pouring forth from the resort loop played throughout the Polynesian! A second theory is there's something flowing from those tiki torches besides natural gas!

It sounds to me that you've succumbed to one or the other! Sadly, there is no cure. . .and, for me at least, that's a good thing!

I too suffer from Polyitis. It is a true addiction - and if there's a cure I don't want it!

If it's an illness, I've got it, too! As a matter of fact, I've tried other places *gasp* and the CR and the BWI can't compare. I loved the BWI, but I actually monorailed over to the Poly to walk through the grounds, listen to the music, and walk through the shops. I really missed being at the Poly. If it hadn't been morning, I would have had a tropical drink, too.


There is a resort for everyone, and this is my resort!

I know how you all feel. We're staying at the GF this time and I know I'll have to go to the Poly to walk around.

Should we take some type of preventitive medicine before our first ever stay at the Poly this July? Or is this one of those type of illnesses that will not weaken or dibilitate? Any help from you already inflicted with this illness wull be appreciated. Mimimom

My bout of Polyitis started in 1972 when I was 5 and we went to WDW for the first time.....we stayed at the Poly and I've been "sick" ever since...I will say that I have grown to really love the WL but there is absoulutely nothing like the Poly for me. I've now managed to get my husband and DD "sick" as well!
