It looks like Living with the Land is moving back to Tier 2 - tomorrow!

This one always confused me.

This is walk on every time I'm at the parks...does it get busier in peak times? Looking at posted wait times, it seems to average 8 minutes this month. Why bother with a FP+? And why was it EVER tier 1?

Yay! I predicted it would happen

As for why it was Tier 1 to begin with, they needed a non-height restricted ride to include

While I understand the reason for tiering in a park with only two thrill rides (stretching the word "thrill"), why not just let people book three tier 2's if they wanted? I guess it achieved the same effect.

When it was a Tier 2, before, there was often a 20+ minute wait because FP line would slow down the stand by. (Same reason SE and Figment often have 20+ minute waits now.) As a Tier one it was pretty much always walk on because people rarely used a FP for it.

I think it was so those who needed a non-height restricted ride wouldn't have a complaint that they couldn't book any of the "good rides"
Granted, making LwtL a Tier 1 didn't make it a thrill ride it put it in their category so at least they thought they were getting a good ride.
All in all you are right, it would have made more sense to let folks book 3 Tier 2 but I guess that meant another layer of complexity to MDE since it would have to be smart enough to know when you got 3 tier 2 and when you got 2

We walked by on our way to our Soarin FP, had considered riding before our FP since we were a few minutes before our window. The wait said 30 minutes so we figured we had better not and ended up just waiting outside Soarin for a few minutes (we were multiple groups and our sweet spot was 11:35 for all of us to over lap). When we got out of Soarin it was about a 5 minute wait.

Is anyone old enough to remember the old E tickets, etc at Disneyland? When I was a little girl, there were E,D,C,B, and A tickets. If you were really lucky your parents might buy another booklet of 5 more E tickets for $5. Living with the Land would be a solid C ticket ride.

Thanks for the heads up. Was able to change our August FP from Nemo to Living with the Land.

Yep. Old enough to remember them both at DL and WDW.

I bet there has be a sudden glut of Nemo, SE and Crush FP hit the system today

While a FP is not needed most of the time for any of those at least booking one for LwtL lets you know you can get in when you go to Soarin'

We have encountered lines there, though never LONG, a FP that cuts even a 15 min line is 15 min saved.

Thanks! I switched a Turtle Talk for Living with the land! Many times it's a walk on, but I have seen a line before.

Thanks for the heads up! My 5 year old loves the "tomato and cucumber ride" so switched out Nemo for this. :)

Hmmm...so should I change my Mission Space at 10am for the Land at 3pm?

Sigh. And just today I thought, wow I've finally got these FPs picked/planned out and ready for my 60 day Monday. Off to make more changes!
