The kids and I worked on their Valentines tonite. For 3 hours!!!!!!!!
My bed was covered in various shades of pink, red and purple.
We did 78 Valentines and that doesn't even include the teachers, the teachers aides, the school secretary and the school bus driver.
Each kid got a bag of assorted candies (snickers, reeses, kisses, etc) to go with their card so that meant 78 little bags of candy that we put together. The teachers got heart shaped boxes with candy and nice cards. And the kids in my twins Kindergarten class got plastic Valentine tumblers in addition to their candy.
Oh, and let's not forget the "special" bag of candy that we had to put together for DS's "special Valentine". He wants to buy her a stuffed animal too. Hello! You are only in the 5th grade. I made him show her pic to me in the yearbook. She's a cutie.
Only thing left to do is get a small gift (Starbucks gift card) for the school bus driver. Lord knows if there is anyone on earth who deserves recognition it's that woman. She drives that monster of a bus through the snow and the ice with it full of noisy kids. A true saint in my eyes. I can barely stand to drive around with just my four!!
So I am tired and broke but the kids are happy and so am I.
