Just booked a room at the Best Western Park Place Inn for 5 nights in early May (before grad nights start)...My 8yr old son will be soooo excited! We stayed at HOJO in MArch, which we liked...but he pointed at BWPPI and said that is where he wanted to stay next time because it's the closest. Can't argue with that! Five nights for a little over $500 (no car discount). Cannot beat that!!! Well you may be able to but for us, this is perfect.

From what I can tell, refurbs should be mainly done...exception of Troubadour Tavern where I still want to get one of their famous loaded potatoes oh well another trip :-(

Now to wait. And plan. And wait. And plan.

I think you can get the potatoes at Harbor Galley across from the HM. We haven't had them there yet, but hopefully they are just as good!

So, my son became obsessed with hidden mickey pins on our last trip so yesterday I ordered him the 2011 edition of Disneyland Hidden Mickeys... it will be a Christmas present and no doubt he'll have a majority memorized by the time we get to DL in May...should be a fun added experience

Now that's funny.

We all know that at Disneyland, refurbs are never done, they just haven't been announced yet, especially if you are going while most American kids are in school. But in your case, one major refurb has already been announced.

Yes I did see that one, not an attraction we really gravitate towards so it won't have bearing on our trip
