It is finally sinking in

My mom is really gone Tomorrow will be one month since she passed away, and today it is hitting me full force that she really is gone....not just in the hospital...not just away.....she is really gone. Nothing I can do will bring her back. It hurts so much.

I have always found looking at photos of loved ones I have lost helps. Maybe make a special photo collage or scrapbook and write down favorite memories?

I did this when I lost my beloved grandfather and it helped me to cope.

I felt that way when my dad died. As time goes on, I still miss him, but it's not as sharp. I know he's with me and I'll see him again someday.

My sincere condolences to you. The death and grieving process over the loss of a love on is one of the most difficult things to go thru. What helped me when it seemed the loss was unbearable was to pick my favorite memories and focus on those over and over again. Again, sorry for your loss.
