I've been anxiously awaiting today as there was talk of Disney releasing a new deal...but I have yet to see anything. I'm hoping the 180 booking window wasn't the big announcement and that we will still hear of a new deal. I need something for 2010!

You and I both! I would love to hear what deals they'll be releasing for 2010. When we vacationed this past June-July we received a bounceback offer in the room. However, the timing wasn't right. The dates were set for use before the end of 2009. DH can't take any more time off this year. We would love to go again in late June, so we are hoping for something that will apply around that time.

Come to think of it, Disney did release the fact that the park hours and dining reservations will open up 180 days in advance, not 90 days. Maybe that was the "BIG" announcement. Its "BIG" for some but small for others.

I had forgotten about the Celebrations Promotions being over in Jan. I just got so used to them lasting forever like the million million dreams! Curious now!

It's already been the year of a million layoff's, anything would be an improvement, right?

Give us something that truly acknowledges the tough times we are in!

i just went to the special offers page on the WDW website but only the title of the page "Special Offers" came up - the rest of the page did not come up-- perhaps they are updated the special offers section with something new right now?

they just put one new offer up on the wdw website:

That one has been there for a couple of days. It does not show up every time I pull up the site though. :confused3 Can you tell I am really waiting for some big discount to book for next year. :goodvibes If the discounts are not good enough, we will have to wait til 2011 to go.

I actually got that as an email offer a couple of weeks ago...sounds like it went out as an email first to random people, but now is out to everyone as people aren't biting.

That was on there yesterday. I have a friend that tried to use it and failed because everything was already booked during his stay.

Actually, has Disney actually made a public release on this yet? I know the CMs are saying it, and now every site is pretty much reporting it as fact, but I haven't seen an official source citing yet...

AUG 12 BURBANK, CA - Disney Corporation and Pete Werner jointly announced today that Disney is acquiring all assets of the websites WDWinfo.com and DISboards.com. Effective immediately, both sites will be transferred to Disney's IT Services department and run under the go.com doma*********

:goodvibes

Yeah, I posted this on the Theme Parks board too, but I thought it would be fun to post it here as well. :)

I spoke with a CM this morning at dining reservations and she told me that the 180-day for ADRs will begin in October. Onsite guests will still be able to book the +10 days into their stay in a single phone call.

I'd like to know too. Sitting here since 8:30 am clicking refresh. No joke. Ask my DH, he worked all day and I made him make dinner when he got home. So where's the announcement? :confused3
