It Is Almost Over!

I just wanted to share that my DH has started they journey home from Iraq! I can't believe this deployment is finally coming to an end, this was the first time in 12yrs he has been deployed and it was for 6 months and then he volunteered to stay an extra month....7months. But DD and I survived. I just can't wait until he is home Thursday!!!


He will only have 30 days in Germany before we leave for Okinawa, no rest for him.

Congratulations!!! That is such great news. My Matt is also traveling home for R&R and then just about 3 and half months after that until this deployment is done. We are such strong women

SO happy for you...
I have a very close friend whose husband has had only a total of 4 months home over the past 4 years because of him being in Afghanistan....
She has it hard with 5 kids by herself(3 months-11 years). He is SUPPOSED to be home for good in June...

Tell your hubby how VERY MUCH we all appreciate him!

Thanks eveyone! Dh called he sounds very anxious he has one more flight before he is on safer ground, I think the anticipation of getting home is killing him. Plus from now until Thursday he has to sleep on cots and @ 6'5" that is hard to do!!
