Here in Chicago-land today.

Started out cloudy, but the sun came out, it is cool, absolutely no humidity, a nice breeze.

All the windows have been open all day, and I think I will be able to snuggle under my feather blanket tonite!

It's been a dreary day in my part of Georgia today. No rain today (rained off and on yesterday), but the skies have been awfully gray.

Heard the hurricane is making its way to Georgia. Are you near the coast? Will things be OK with you?

Marilyn, I'm far away from the coast. I live at the very tip NW Georgia, nestled close to Alabama and Tennessee. Closest body of water is the Tennessee River. We'll be fine, we'll just be a little wet. I hope those near the coast areas are ok though. I'm not sure, but I think Chipperdini is pretty close to the coast. A lot closer than I am.

I agree newmousecateer--it was gorgeous today. I could take this weather all year long and skip the 95-degree days.

Gorgeous here, too, but in a different way. Rained ALL DAY. Since we've been on mandatory water restrictions for two years, it was great.

tar heel, I know what you mean. We're in SC and need these two days of hard rain really bad. It was bad to drive home in tonight as we returned from the coast (sister just had a baby in Charleston), but worth it. Our lakes are way down and we've been encouraged, not forced yet to conserve water. Hoping actually for more rain tomorrow.
