OK, I know there's a lot of people who go to Disney that are/will be a lot worse off than us but this still gets frustrating...
A brief history of our Disney trips since we've had kids:
Sometime around the end of April 1997, my DW gets herself pregnant (ok, I probably had some role there) with our 3rd DS. So, on our WDW trip in December 1997, she was about 8 months pregnant.
About two weeks prior to our Disneyland trip in July 2000, my DW steps in a hole in our front yard and breaks her ankle. I get the pleasure of pushing her around DL in a wheelchair in the summer heat (though that wasn't half the fun of pushing her up and down the hills of the San Diego Zoo that same trip). (She's also about one month pregnant with our 4th DS on this trip.)
Literally ten days prior to our WDW trip in January 2003, my DW had her gall bladder removed in an up-'til-then unplanned surgery.
Ok, so last Friday, we're ten days from our next planned trip to WDW and my DW falls UP the stairs leading from our garage to our kitchen. There's only two steps and like I said she was going up them but she still found a way to injure herself. So, off to the ER for x-rays only to find out that all she has is a bad sprain but she is on crutches and my guess is she won't be in great shape for several days of park walking and line standing at WDW next week.
The funny/sad thing is that other than these above incidents, she really doesn't get sick very often and she really doesn't injure herself badly very often.
Obviously, the pregnancy thing is a little different because, in theory, we did have some control over that but it just seems like events conspire against her as we close in on our Disney trips.
Don't get me wrong. We still have a good time and we still love being at Disney with our four DS's and we're still looking forward to our fast approaching trip to WDW but it would be nice (for both of us) to have a Disney trip when she's in her normal active condition.
I don't dare become a DVC member -- that many trips would surely be the end of her!

P.S. This is my 100th DISboards post!
P.P.S. One week from tonight I'll be sleeping at WDW!
