Well not really a post card- but a special email with a pin code.

Here's your Spring Treat!
FREE!
150 Disney Dollars

When you purchase a 6-night or longer Magic Your Way Package at a Disney Value Resort (at the nondiscounted regular season price) for travel most nights between April 2-30, 2005, you will receive 150 Disney Dollars per room to spend however you like for dining, shopping and more at select locations across our world.

I can't use it but I am so happy I got it. It is interesting that instead of the usual room discounts they are offering cash on top of a package. I hope I get another one before our 'maybe' trip in October.

Okay- so my next question is- Now that I have gotten a post card am I more likely to get another one? For those of you that have gotten these special offers - was it a one time thing or have you gotten them over and over?

I just got that email too. I can't use it either, but was hoping I'll get another one. I'm not so sure it's even a good deal. You can't combine any other discounts, so you have to pay full price to get the $150. It also didn't sound like you could get park hoppers, just the basic MYW tickets.

I got it too and can't use it. We're going in August and besides that, we already have our tickets and are only going for 4 nights. 3 strikes I guess  ! I'm hoping that since they have our email, I'll get more offers in the future ~ hopefully one with a nice big room only discount!!

I got one, too. Time to break out the pencil and do the math, I guess. Off the top of my head I'd say that the $150 equals the AP discount for six nights. So I guess the remainder is in the package "perks".

I'm doing the math here, too....is the deal only good at the value resorts? has anyone actually called? is this a good deal? LOL....

I registered on the WDW site. I also sent for a planning DVD. I'm assuming that's where they got mine.

It says purchase the MYW package- the packages are flexible so you should be able to get whatever tickets you want. (On the email it says 1 park per day, expires 14 days... but that is in the important details section pertaining to the $1500 family of 4 package)
As far as other deals/discounts- since I don't have an AP as of right now there are no other discounts. Last year we used a code for ASMO for $55 per night (down from rack rate of $77) That saved us $132 for 6 nights - so this is actually better.

register on disney.com. And when you register check or uncheck all the boxes so that you indicate that you want to receive communications and special offers from Disney. Also, order the planning DVD. Some say this increases your chances of getting special offers.

I've done both, but didn't get any emails :sad2: Maybe because it's only been a few weeks?

I registered on the WDW website also and haven't received any offers...
Your little guy is a cutie. :wave2:

I got one too! We usually get the emails and we have gotten 3 or 4 post cards within the last 2 years...I don't know how they figure out who gets one, but I'm just gonna leave it at we just got lucky :)

I just got one too for the first time and was coming here to post and see if anyone else got it too. It's not a super exciting deal- I would have rather had a cheaper room each night :) The rates in April are expensive, but I guess if you stay at a value the deal is like getting 1 1/2 nights for free?? Oh how I wish I could use this!!!

I've been registered at disney.com forever, but just recently registered at espn.com and checked the box that asked if I wanted to receive promotional materials from the walt disney company. Hmm...

I'm not sure, but Ithink you "might" have to get the 7-day MYW pass (no PH, no expiration). At least that's how I read my e-mail. I wish you could book it online (with the special PIN) to see how it all plays out.

I'm still doing the math, LOL...we are going in April, anyway.

No - you can get any tickets you want- but if you get the $1500 package- you have to get the basic tickets.

so I'm not required to get the 7 day MYW pass with the package, I can change that option....and still get the $150 bonus?

CM said you can surely upgrade the tickets and get the $150 bonus. She was unsure what the minimum ticket purchase requirement is but there is no maximum. You can always upgrade your ticket.

I just got an email offer from Disney, too. Except mine is 2 free Cirque du Soleil tickets and $25 for Planet Hollywood. It says I have to book at least a 6 night MYW package in April for a value resort. I won't be using it, and I wish I could transfer this offer to someone who could use it.

BTW, I got one of those awesome resort pin codes last August on my other email account. I guess I must have signed up online twice using 2 different email addresses.
