Well, the decision has been made. We are going again.

That's the good news. The bad news is that it won't be until Summer 2005!!!

Next year will have to be a cheaper holiday in the Med somwehere. Louise wants a beach holiday anyway, so the deal is that we do that in 2004 and WDW in 2005.

The planning begins again.

I think it will be a villa (as close as possible to the action) and I'll be asking for suggestions, so get your thinking caps on.

No doubt it will need to be late August again.

Anyway, I know it's a long, long way off yet, but I feel better knowing it's been decided.

Now then...where's that countdown thingy again :p

2005 does seem a long way off - that's when we will be going back too, and it does mean plenty of planning time!!

Excited about the prospect of another excellent trip report from you though :hyper::hyper:- I assume Ryan will be accompanying you again?? :teeth:

I don't think it's ever too far off to begin planning - after all we're not that far from the end of 2003 and then you'll be able to say "we're going back to Orlando next year" and then that will fly by too although at the time I'm sure you'll feel it's a drag.

Now go get that countdown thingy :)

Wooooooohhhhooooo Get ya countdown thingie majig!! you lucky people!! ;) ::yes::
I agree 2005 is not a long time off, it will soon come round it always does when you have something to look forward to!! :)

We'll see you there Craig, we're planning on the end of August 2005 also.

Maybe if I can encourage R to return E + R's emails more often than once every 6 months they could plan and get excited together. :)

Jo

I know what you mean.

I promise I'll get the girls to read and reply soon. They are on half term this week coming so they will have time on their hands.

If all goes to plan we should arrange to meet whilst we are there so they can meet up.

Craig

Hiya,

Don't worry Rachel is far worse than your girls, it takes her longer to reply and when she does she manages about a dozen words! They're just too busy at this age!

That would be great to meet up out there, by then they'd have been emailing for over 2 years also!

We're hoping to do the last 2 weeks of August and the 1st week in September, but it does depend on the date the September term starts, I'm hoping they don't go back until around the 5th as the 1st is a Friday I think.

The plan at the mo is to spend the last 6 nights out at Vero Beach so we'll be in Orlando for the first 16, wahay!!! only 665 days to go LOL

Jo

We've had a hectic few weeks really.

Rebecca had her tonsils out two weeks ago, and has only just gone back to school, and we had a new kitchen fitted, so the computer was in bits all over the house as the dining room was full of boxes and new kitchen!!!

Ah the joys!!

I'd be really interested in the deals you are seeing. We want to do 3 weeks this time as well, but all 3 in Orlando I think, with maybe a couple of days down on the coast, doing Busch at the same time.

I've been pricing flights for next August to get a ball park, and they seem very pricey, around £2700 for 4 of us. OUCH!!

Are you doing any better??

Cheers

Craig

Hiya,

No that's the kind of figure we're getting for next August also, we did get a really good figure of around £1600 but when I rang again, they said it must have been a mistake!!!

The absolute best flight prices we've had is for direct flights with Delta into Atlanta, it works well for us as that's where my brother lives so we could see him and drive down, but it is around a 10 hour drive. Whether or not that's worth the saving (think it worked out less than £1700) I don't know yet, the thought of 10 hours in a car with a 2 year old isn't overly appealing! Even the indirect flights aren't coming in particularly cheap either - the joys of going in School holidays huh?

The best for next year into Florida does seem to be BA over the other airlines, as it was for us this year, but I guess things could change by the time we're ready to book. I'll do some serious price hunting after Christmas. We may be trying out a late flight booking next year also, current thoughts are either August or October so it will be interesting to see what it's like trying to get flights later on. I use the word interesting with great concern!

Poor Rebecca :( Hope she's made a speedy recovery, at least no more tonsillitis for her though :)

Jo

Rebecca's fine now. Back to her mischievous self.

Just found some encouragement on expedia.

Flights with Continental, leaving 11/8/04 for 3 weeks, total of £2137. Flying into MCO from Manchester.

That's more like it.....I'm hoping for around £2000 for the flights. These connect in Newark, so it's not ideal, but if it saves £600, I'll settle for that.

Craig

Hi Craig,

That's a better price! We were pricing up flights for October last night and felt like crying as we watched the totals drop to around £1500 for 4 seats!

We've never been in August before, I think this is going to be a bit of a shock to the purse ;)
