That's right. A phone call. We had been home from our week long stay at the beautiful Boardwalk Villas about two weeks. Then....the phone rang.

It was my Mother's best friend. Lauren? she asked. Yes. Well, no. Really, I like to go by Cinderella;)

MBF: (mom's best friend) Hi, I was just going over my points and I realized that I'll have 38 extra this year.

Me: Oh, really?????????????:rolleyes1 (<--even though this guy says "rolling eyes" I'm using him as a hmmmmmmmmmmm.........)

MBF: I'd really like you to be able to use them, however....they need to be used by July 31st.

Me: To myself. Uh oh. Another trip. Wheels are already turning. Actual reply "geesh, that sounds great. Let me talk it over with DH and see what he says"

I ask her how much she would like for the points and then I looked something like this  :scared1: Let me go on record now as saying this: "There's no way I'm NOT going!!!"

So, off the phone and straight to the computer I go.

Check out DD's school schedule. So far this year they've only had 1 snow day. This phone call was the beginning of March so potentially there could be more in the forecast. (the way the weather's been lately, there still /B] could be more in the forecast)

Play with some dates. Book the car. Yes. I booked the car. Isn't that the first thing you always do? I do. I figure it's easy enough to either cancel or change that reservation. It's booking something without really committing. But it made me feel as though I had done something.

Wait all week. The chance to present the wonderful opportunity we've been offered to DH never really presents itself. In the back of my mind, I actually know that this is going to be just DD and I taking this trip. The dates I choose are in June, and DH is super-busy all summer.

Plus, as I said before, we just got back. DH loves Disney, but I think he's all set for a while. We went for 12 days in August with free dining and a week in February. Before that we had been averaging 2-3 visits a year as well. Soooooooooo...................finally I mention it. His answer? Whatever. Whatever you want. LOL. I don't know why I even waited to ask him. He's so good!!!!

Wow, great start. Looking forward to reading more of your pre trip report.:thumbsup2

We are going in Mid June.. I am enjoying reading all these trip reports/pre trip reports.

Hey!! Thanks for reading!!! I can't believe how enjoyable it is to write this! Lauralee- I love your TR's!!! You little guy is so cute!

So, on with the show.....................

DH was going to be to busy at work, so what to do?? Should we have another Mommy and Me trip? Maybe. I asked my Mom how she'd feel about going with us. She was pretty excited. We discussed. She was thinking.

In the meantime plans had been set with her friend. We will be at SSR in a studio from June 18-21. Just a short trip this time. I *think* I'm fine with that. In fact, I *think* a short trip is what I want. We'll see when its time to go home.

My DD will turn 9 on June 17th. Which this year is also Father's Day. She's upset she won't be at Disney on her real birthday. I told her not to worry, Mommy always had a "birthday week" growing up! We have dinner at 1900 PF, and I'm planning on calling the GF bakery and having a cake for her dinner. Well, I'll make her eat dinner first. Cake can be dessert. ;) :rotfl:

Ok, with the dates set I booked airfare on Jet Blue. DD was dancing a happy dance  .....not about Disney, but about Jet Blue. That kid should do commercials for them!!! She loves Jet Blue.

We will arrive around noon on our first day.

Hmmmm..........maybe I should back pedal a bit here. We just returned from a week in February. Know the TR whose title is "I need a do-over"??? That's how I felt. We took my neice for her Christmas/Birthday present all rolled into one. For the most part, things were great. But, we still had a 13 year old girl with us who wasn't sure if she was more interested in having fun or being cool. So, after having this week long trip, I was feeling the need to go again. Even if it's for a short time. I just want to be there with DD, having fun. She's a little minnie-me, and has no problem acting Goofy.:sulley: ...uh ok, or Sulley. I guess that could be for silly. How come there's no Goofy smilie??? I will get back to you on that when shes 13 though. :scared:

So!! Update!!! My Mom's coming too!!! Yay! When I read Glendamax's TR with her Mom, with each paragraph I wished more and more that could be us some day. And now it is!!!

I've called the GF and we are having a chocolate cake with a chocolate castle topper. Yummmmmmmm..........anyone else eating at 1900 PF on the 20th of June? The cake is for 8 people. There will be three of us. :rotfl:

What else??? We are eating at LeCellier and 1900 PF. So far those are the only two ADR's we have.

Here's a discussion topic: To DP or not??? I actually want to sit down with my Mom and discuss this but I know how it's going to go. She's going to say...."you're the expert. Whatever you want to do is good with me".. lol!!!

So, here's my thinking. Hang on, it could get bumpy. Or at least blonde. ;)

My "intentions" of this trip are this. Get up early. Be at the park at or before opening. Do as much as we can by noon. Hang at the pool/resort for the night. Early bed time as we'll be getting up early. We'll see how that goes though. DD and I are night people. We could both sleep all day and party all night. Although at Disney, I do tend to get up early.....DD doesn't though. I'm thinking without her Dad there, it will be easier to get her up. Like I said, we'll see how that goes.

Another way of thinking. Since it's such a short trip, we'll be going, going, going. I have the two reservations I want for sure. But, I keep thinking of some of the other places we might like to eat. Do I want to take the time out of the day for that? OR, if we stick with the plan of getting up and going, it might be nice to go back into another park for a couple of hours for dinner? We have AP's, so tickets are not in consideration here.

And yet another thing to take into consideration. At Le Cellier, DD will be getting the 7 oz. Filet Mignon - glazed with maple barbecue sauce and accompanied by cream cheese mashed potatoes. (and adult meal) Oh, that makes me drool just typing it. (ok, or cutting and pasting from allears) So, if on the dining plan, I'd let her use one of my adult credits. Which would use two of my 3. However, we'd have all 3 child credits to be used during the rest of the stay, where I'd probably book buffets. BUT....at LeCellier, if not on the dining plan we would not get an app. and share desert. Ahhhh.....what to do???

Did I loose you?? Do you see the wheels turning in my head?? Can you feel the pain in my own brain???

Love your pretrip! I, too, always book the car first thing. I laughed out loud when I saw that. It's the easiest, cost free way to "book" your trip!

Enjoy your plans! I look forward to more.
