It all started with a "Hidden Mickey"Green Pepper

6:00am Easter Sunday Morning​

My DH opens his e-mail and finds that "Delta" (Famous for "Getting you Close") Airlines.. CANCELLED OUR FLIGHTS... BOTH OF THEM ... So they lived up to their name for me today... They" ALMOST "got me to WDW when I wanted to get there and Leave.
So while I was getting ready for Church" he was on the phone arranging for one of the two different options.( Done throught AMEX... flight was free this way) BOTH pretty Lousy in our opinion.But we would have to contact Delta to arrange the seating.
We Went from Arriving in WDW at 12:40pm to arriving at 6:00pm and Leaving WDW went from 2:15 to 7:30pm.
To further complicate things... ON the return flight... we will most likely be seperated...( Different seat config) and DH just did not get around to making sure that each parent had a kid. He was saving that for me O.K. When was I going to do that ?? I would not be back home till well after 1:00 !!! I had to be at Church at 8:30 for warm ups and rehersal.. At 6:00am there were still available seats... Not when I got home!!! Still not sure why DH was leaving that to me.. So now I HOPE that one parent has both espically JE who has Autism.

Never has this been an issue.. I hope this is not the first of things to go wrong ..

Oh no! I have never had this happen to me and I hope it never does. I only have one DS, but I could imagine all this aggravation with 2 and 1 of them being special needs

WHAT What is it with US Airlines that they can just cancel or change flights I'm sure it doesn't happen much over here!!!!

Glad you could get some other flights though and I'm sure the airline won't allow kids to sit by themselves especially if you explain

How annoying for you. Delta constantly messed around with our flights last July, it was highly aggravating. That is why I am booking with JetBlue from now on. I hope that you are able to get the seating all fixed so that you are sitting with the kids.

Airtran has a direct flight to Richmond that I take all the time. The pricing may be different from here to there, but on Memorial Day I was able to get $69 each way. I have also flown Allegiant to Greensboro although I can't remember the price. Sanford's not that far away but it may be easier to take ME from MCO than rent a car.

I did not see that option when we were booking.. I'll file that info away and remember it next time we go. Thanks.. and thanks for stopping by my thread..

This PTR is becoming a serious "Hidden Creature" Thread.
I thought it was funny the first time... so I began the thread.. "It all started with a "Hidden Mickey" Green Pepper."You know.. to jump start a "Pre-Trip" Thread. But this "Disney Green Creature Phenomenon" struck again today !!

The family went to have lunch again at "Abuello's".I ordered a Fajita again to split with JE. When it arrived... SE and JE Immediately began looking for another "Hidden Mickey" As I was about to open my mouth to explain that , the last time we found a "Mickey" it was a Fluke... JE yelled out... "It's another "Hidden Mickey" !!!

At first ... it really seemed to be one. But as I looked closer..It was Another, more recent "Disney Creation " that I saw.

Take a Look "within" the pepper.

Maybe the "outside" of the Pepper looks more like "Mickey" ??

Are we Seeing "Mickey" or are we seeing "Stitch" ?
Either way.. I am getting a collection of Green Disney Stuff

The Disney Itch grows with each Passing "Fajita" Green Suprise.
I am not making any of this up.. nor editing the Peppers in any way. But Maybe it's a sign.. that the "Dream Squad" will smile upon me this year!!!
OR MAYBE... JUST MAYBE... I'll see the "TAG FAIRY"!!!!

Well.. besides a couple of bumps in the Pre-Trip Road... not too bad. Sorry No new "Hidden Character's" in this Chapter... did not go to "Abuelo's" this week. But Speaking of food... Ya have to eat while in WDW don't you ??

We are not the Fancy Bunch... I mean... If someone came to Escort me up a "Secret" Passage way or Magical Elevator to this "Heavenly Restaurant" I would know that they have me mistaken for the "Queen of England", Laura Bush.. or at least "TEminnie" My kids still like the "Characters", and Scott (my DH) Likes Buffets
Usually we eat offsite for all but 1 meal at "Chef Mickey's" This year Dh decided to add the Dining plan since we are AP's and you can now add them to a room ressie.

So for our 8 Table Service Meals... it looks a little like this.

18 "Trails End"

19 "Chef Mickey's" 8:00(so we'll get in somewhere around 9:00 )

20 : "Crystal Palace" for Lunch
Then a quick dash to the Castle for a "Bibbity Bobbity Boutique Makeover

21 "Chef Mickey's" again .. 5 ish

23 "1900 Park Fare"

24 BIG DAY... "Le Cellier" for Lunch ...
"Cape May" for dinner

That's my "Sophisication" for the Trip... thought I would just "GIOW"( Get It Over With) in one day.. then I can let my hair back down

25 "Chef Mickey's" for Breakfast..... 10 ish ( more like a Brunch by then)
Then Head home...


I see you scratching your head there... wondering why 3 Chef Mickey's ??
It's Disney... and It's mostly about the kids. Most likely they will not like "Cape May"
Hoping they will not get mad when we go "Canadian"
It looks safe... sort of close to "American" may get Lucky

Most of these places we have Never been to. So it will be different.. and different is good.. espically when you have to go back to the same Resort that you tried to escape from.. but to no avail.

Hey Katt, the ADR's look great. We really liked Trails End in August, except for the waitress who told Jim not order another chocolate milk for Jimmy becasue the heat will make him sick

Just needed a little pick me up today... Monday.. Kids home sick... cloudy... 50 degrees.

Your ADR's sound great and I so agree that it's about the kids, I think this year will be one of the last with character meals! My 2 last year were aged 9 & 11 and the 11 y/o loves Le Cellier, she just loves her steak Oh and it's not posh we just wore our park clothes, ie sweaty tank top and shorts

It's just that "French" name.."Le Cellier"I know what the translation means... BUT... to an Old American" lady .. sounds like one of those places that has food you can not pronounce.. and the MORE you can not pronounce it... The less American it becomes. And probably made out of something I would use for bait when I go fishing ??
