It’s my birthday. Gobble gobble.

We had our thanksgiving last weekend. I knew I wouldn’t be in any shape to cook for 15 and then travel the next day. So today we are finishing packing and eating a slice of my birthday carrot cake that I froze from the dinner.

Carrot cake back story. My eldest sister made me a carrot cake every year. 16 years ago, she passed away. We thought that’s the end of the carrot cakes. While emptying her house, I found the hand written recipe. I now make my own carrot cake.

This is the trip, I started booking 11 months ago, just in case we were still heathy enough to go. And tomorrow it starts. Just us two.

Happy Birthday Jo Jo. Hope it was a wonderful day aside from it being Thanksgiving.

So because of cheaper airfare today, we are spending one night at all stars sports. We are in football building. Got to room about 6. Open door. Tv showed Happy birthday Jo Jo and then about an hour later I go out to get ice. I found a little bag on the door. Had a birthday button, a"gold" medal and a business size card saying about everyone a star.....or something like that. In all the years, I don't think I've every been just given one. Always had to ask. Tomorrow we move to akl jumbo.

I'm just going to continue little random comments.

Went to food court at all stars about 8 am, and the dining plan was active. If fact we told cashier we did want to use it yet. Did not try to the mugs. We had coffee in room, so we waited until we got to jumbo. This is for a question I asked months ago.

Got off the bus at Ak and want bus for Akl. We were at stop 5 and needed to get to stop 17. So needed to go all the way up and over and down.....think of letter U. The bus driver said go towards 1 and there's a cross walk. Low and behold, there is. We went across and buses going both ways stopped until we were back on sidewalk.

We were waiting to get scooter for DH. He was a little slow getting up off a bench and another guest offered him a hand.

Small grr. , we left all stars about 11, got to jumbo about noon. Looked around the lodge, had a wonderful animal guide by the overlook, and then we settled by the indoor fire place it was wonderful.

But after two hours, the. Wonderfulness was wearing thin. We had hoped by 3 we would have had a room. It was only one night by 3:30 started get texts saying room isn't quite ready. At 4, I ask if the could say how much longer. 10 mins on the phone, we had a room. We went up to room. Couldn't get in. Tried phone, and bands. While trying again for the ten time, my phone dings again. Welcome home, your room is ready. The text is 4:35. Now everything worked.
We had time for a very short nap, dinner at boma at 6:20 and you know that elevator traffic can get like a mad hour at dinner time. Lol

My DH loved it. I like it. Give me a kids menu and I'll do fine one thing to note, the butternut squash soup now uses apples in it. DH can't eat it anymore. He drowned his sorry with chicken corn chowder and sea food chowder.

Leaving jumbo, moving to , BLT. Had a great spot to view animals. We are a few hundred feet from the outlook at jumbo, but alas, not one animal this morning. Last night 9:30ish, we had two zebras and a few other deer like animals. Now in the sun, nothing. Been looking since 6A.M.

Sorry for strange words, too many commas or none at all. I am not a phone typist. I'm doing the one finger tap tap method.

it’s been a few days. We got a great room at blt. North shore. Sitting on sofa I see all lake. Sitting on chair bed, I see space mountain and bins of towels/ sheets. And of course, fireworks. On 5 floor. Couldn’t be happier with it.

We are leaving tomorrow for BCV.

We did several days a mk. Since denied DAS, we bought LL two days on party days. As others noted, some rides were 5-10 wait times and would be great if we had the ability to to cross the parks back and forth. We tried to do a circle path. We did manage to do buzz twice over. But that was it as far as taking advantage of shorter wait times.

We encountered several very helpful CMs .

This trip, at webway, when DH got to the top of ramp, CM opened the chain so DH had to walk the shortest amount possible. And stopped the circle. Last trip, we went through the zipping back and forth through the queue even if the only people in the line.

Once on small world, the CM pushed DH on and off the wheel chair boat. I pushed him up and down the ramps from scooter to boat. Second time I did all the pushing.

On Buzz, CM brought wheel chair right to the car for DH.

Haunted, stopped belt, buggy was as close as possible. Second time, CM offered to bring scooter onto ramp, but since we also had the rollator with us, we said that was good enough.

I was pushing it all day for DH to use in restrooms. He would get scooter fairly close to the restroom and then use the rollator for the last 25-50 feet.

One night we went over to fort wilderness to check out decorations. Not sure if we just missed the good spots, but only saw a few. We only walked maybe 15-20 mins from trails end. DH had the scooter, but I was walking, I didn’t want to go any further because A- I didn’t want to get lost and B- the further away, the longer tote back. About 6-8 years ago, it was amazing, couldn’t believe the number of decorations people hauled to the Fort.

We moved to BCV. We miss BLT. BCV has tv controller we can’t figure out. The room seems smaller and the worst……we have to share a bathroom. We knew about the bathroom. Our view is the back of the land building. We can see about 40% of the globe. We also have a roadway for a view . But we really moved to make it easier for traveling to parks.

We can see some fireworks from room. If we were on the fifth floor, I think it would have been great.

Need to call maintenance today. Dryer won’t stay closed. Pops open every 5 mins. I have it taped closed.

Oh coffee pots. BLT, we had the standard pot for ground coffee. At BCV , we have the pot/k-cup unit.

We the encanto show yesterday, not knowing anything about it. It’s cute for the younger crowd. Singing, dancing, is great for the under ten group. I’m sure my older grandkids would think, I’d rather be in line for guardians.

I hope with the BLT refurb, they keep the pull out pantry. At BCV, there are some empty lower cabinets, I think the pull out pantry is better.

Our DD is making a plan for us to hit the story tellers at Epcot. That will be our day.

I don’t know his name, but want to give a shout out to a guest at smugglers run about 1:30 today. He was with a party of 7.

DH was on the scooter and I was pushing a rollator. We were side by side in the first room. Then it was time to move to the vehicles. Well you would have thought someone said, first 50 people get a grand. I’m moving, I turn , don’t see DH, I pull to the side, people are just streaming by. DH just can’t move with people jumping in front. This unnamed hero blocks traffic,so DH can catch up with me.
