It’s Always Sunny in California!..Eh?...L’il Bit!

I laughed out loud thinking of you and Cass stealing the condiments and running down the hall giggling. Oh and with the tampon story too!

That's great you get to go back in August and go to the Villains party even if it is only a short stay. And you get to check another hotel off your list. At this rate if we give you another 2 years you will have stayed at all of them!

The pictures you made for your room turned out great!

We do like our free stuff! :rotfl2:

It will be a nice getaway, but it will be business first and I have to keep remembering that that is the whole reason I am going. :crazy2:

Really exciting news about your conference, CBR stay and VILLANS PARTY!!!

Can't wait to see your pictures from these.

:goodvibes

I am excited....though at the rate I am going it might be next year before I get around posting those. :rotfl:

Your canvas pictures are awesome!!!

Are you going to make some for Claire, too? ;)

As much as I enjoyed your Good Neighbor tour, I am definitely an onsite girl!

::yes::

I love them too. I am so pleased. I may make something for Claire, but I haven't decided what yet. Her room is Ariel themed, so I'll have to see what I have that would look nice.
I'm an onsite girl too

Most of the areas he took us around to were outside areas.

It really is a beautiful hotel.

We finally did see a room and WOW….these are huge. I want to say that most of the rooms here are not this big, but these were the only ones we were shown, but I might be wrong.

Of course I have to check out the bathroom.

Ok. I did go look at the pictures...not impressed at all. At first I was hoping to be in a new room...now...not so much. I'll ask for Jamaica....do you go through the parking lot to get to the bus stop? I was looking at the map and it looks like thats what you do..or I assume a pathway to it?

We were in Jamaica 43 and were very close to the bus stop. We just took the stairs down and walked almost straight to the bus stop. It wasn't a far walk to the food court either.

I like the new rooms but I wish that they had done something with brighter colors since the buildings are so pretty and bright. But, a lot of people said that they love the new look.

We then headed back to the lobby area to wait for the rest of the groups.

There was a quick service type food place and a gift shop area as well.

And then we were done! We all loaded back onto the bus and headed back to the GC and we got instructions for the next morning and were let free to do as we wished after that.

Cass and I went back to the room and freshened up and I think she called home…I probably did too. I know at one point she was talking to her daughter via skype and I walked by and I put my fat head in front of the screen and said hi and waved and she was so darn cute and waved back to me all excitedly….just like we have known each other for years. It was so cute.

I think we also then made a dining reservation for tonight. Did not want to chance it this time! We selected Steakhouse 55 and I think we made it for around 8:30, but I could be off on time…it might have been 8.

Tonight we were heading off to California Adventure as they gave us a couple of FP’s for there, and of course, they were to be used in the 5-6 PM hours.

We headed towards Carsland because Cass had heard they have a lighting ceremony each night and we wanted to find out what time it was.

We found a CM and asked and he looked on his schedule and we were given a time.

We also ran into this party going on.

We had a FP for California Screamin, so I believe we headed that way next.

But first we decided to watch the racers a bit.

Good to know! I need to call my request in yet.
I guess I'll see how it all looks once they are done, but it just look like painted wood. If it is actual stained dark wood that would like nicer...but maybe the pictures are just bad...I hope.

I have heard about the lighting ceremony as well and will make sure I catch it this time round. I am glad that you managed to make a reservation for Steakhouse 55. I hope that you made it there. I can sense a cliffhanger.

Of all of the Good Neighbor hotels, this was my favorite. I loved the English Tudor styling, the room was HUGE and the location was not too bad.

More great pictures in Carsland. I'll be interested in hearing if you made it for the lighting ceremony.

:)

Loved the pictures. Wish I had had your pictures when trying to decide where to stay when we went to DL in 2008.

Great pics of World of Color.
Congrats to you all on the little princess news.
Wow long line to get into GC.
Loved the pics by the pool area.
Nic epics around GC.
I love the Tink table in the lounge.
I love and want the Mickey lamp on the stand. CUTE!
Those views are very nice.
TMI On the free merch. LOL.
The hotels you are touring are very nice.
That is great about the trip in August and getting closer to certification.
Charging for wi-fi would make me not stay there.
I am caught up again. Tell them to change your screen name to “update ninja”. LOL.

Jen, slow down! ;)
You are an update machine! I can hardly keep up with you, especially since we are close to the end of the school year.

On the other hand .......... I just love all the photos you take and some of the resorts are really beautiful. Only downside - most of them are too far away from the parks for my liking. :lmao:

I had no idea that you actually toured many of the neighboring hotels as well. They all look lovely. I am sure part of that is your pictures, but its very cool to see all the options in DL.

So funny your comment about adding an extra hour to what you could already handle. :rotfl2:

I have no doubt you will complete your certification and Yay for a quick trip to Orlando in August for more training and a villains party. :cool1: Are you sure you will only stay for 2 nights?

I actually stayed at AS sports for one night in Feb. Denny refused to use points for the night because we arrived so late and checked out first thing in the am,. I stayed in the Hoops Hotel and it was super cute. I'm not kidding. I wasn't crazy about the room simply because I have had so many DVC stays and I am spoiled, but the whole resort was really cute. I would def stay again if need be!

It was my favorite too with the looks, but not happy about the charges. I know offsite tends to be cheaper, but they often have other fees as well.

I knew the guys reading would just love my "free product" info. :rotfl2:

I am going to take the weekend off from updating. I am trying to get this done and possibly take a small break before starting the next one, but I need a break this weekend with so many things going on here as well.
Yeah, I wish these places were closer, it would make them more desirable then.

I swear they really put us to work. A lot of people flew in the day of the conference start and flew out the day it ended. They basically only had a few hours of actual free park time. I am so happy we decided to come in early and stay an extra night after. It really made a huge difference.
Also many had to do work after the conference and I really took care of as much as I could before I left and Cass did too, so both of us had minimal work to do while there...basically checking emails and answering them if needed. I know I had a back up person to help me too while I was gone, and luckily she didn't need to be called upon.
I am becoming a bit spoiled now too staying at some of the nicer places. I do want to eventually try them all, but, I am getting too many favorites that I want to go back to as well. :rotfl2:

I am going to take today and tomorrow off from posting to allow some of you to catch up....also I have a busy weekend and I could use a break to work on a few other things as well.

Have a great weekend and well deserved break from updating. I would say get some rest but it sounds as if you have a busy weekend.

Caught up! I have been really behind on all the TR's I am following but I am getting caught up. I just love reading them, it keeps me going during these times when I don't have a trip planned, hope we can go back soon, it was supposed to be this year but it is looking more and more like next year,

It's been really crazy for me the last few weeks (months actually). We had a death in the family so we are dealing with that. (My DH's brother, 41, so sad, he was sick for so long and really suffered so it is a blessing that he isn't suffering anymore) and a learning new computer system at work in the middle of all that but it is up and going now, much as it is a stinky system...

It was really neat to get to see so many of the Good Neighbor Hotels. I agree most are pretty far but they are at least really nice ones.

Glad you get to go down to WDW in August, that Villains party sounds like it will be a lot of fun!

Yes, I needed to take some time and get some other things done, plus we have birthdays and grad parties...Today I plan to work in my yard....which really needs work!!!

I understand that totally. I love reading them too, so I am slow at catching up at times because I want to read it all.
Skip has said he wants to go to DL next year, but we have some friends who want to do a Disney cruise and the wife asked if Skip will be interested in that. I am not sure and I haven't even mentioned it to him yet because she isn't sure on dates. But he might like to because he is good friends with the husband.

I am so sorry to hear about your BIL, but at least he is at peace now!
New computers are such a hassle. My Mom bought a Windows 8 laptop almost a year ago and still can't figure it out. She is still using her old one for the most part. I went in and tried to play with it and I was lost too. :rotfl2: And I can usually figure things out fairly easy...or enough to do the basics.

There are some very nice ones in the area, but some of those further ones were not any cheaper than staying onsite either.

It should be fun! I am excited to see what it's all about.

I'm slowly picking along. I just read the post about Stacy's neighborhood. And now I really want to head back to LA! I loved my two trips, and we only did a tour once, but it was so beautiful. And it was freezing, so I didn't get in the ocean, which was terrible because I live on the Atlantic, and I really wanted to at least wade in the Pacific! :rotfl:

That last hotel was really nice, but if they made the room so huge, you'd think they could have made the bathroom a little larger too. It looked narrow.

Great pictures as always - I sure hope you made it to Steakhouse 55, but I'm getting the feeling something changes...:worried:

I know how it is. I am very behind once again on a lot of threads I subscribe to as well.
I want to head back too...so many things to see and do out there!!!

I thought the same thing about the bathroom.
Well...sort of! ;)

California Screamin was down and they told us our FP would be good if it started running again tonight, but the way they said it made it sound like it may be down for the night. We never did go back and check.

We had a second FP and for the life of me, I can’t remember what it was for or if we even used it….maybe I’ll remember later….

We kept moving on.

Me~ Hey! I bet this is where Toy Story Characters meet.
Cass~ Yes and you took a picture of Buzz there the other day!

Oh yeah!!!!!

Snack time!

I got the jalapeno and cheese filled pretzel and it was VERY good.

I actually thought it would be spicier than it was, so I was pleasantly surprised and it filled me us just nicely. I think Cass ran off to find a corn dog.

We were now working our way back towards Carsland, as I think we were getting close to the lighting ceremony time.
But wait…a parade is coming through! I took a few pictures as we walked.

If you haven’t guessed…..this is a Pixar parade.
