It’s Always Sunny in California!..Eh?...L’il Bit!

I enjoyed the ride of POTC with you; thanks for sharing those pictures.

I'm sorry It's a Small World was closed (I'm sure Mark will MAKE me do that when we go).

Love all your pictures as you walked through DL. So fun to see how different it is.

I just adore that bathroom you were in with the doors as playing cards.

I am so behind! I am very glad you were able to see the Aladdin show! I absolutely loved it! You took some amazing photos of the show! I am glad the carpet was able to fly for you! Too bad that IASW was closed. I like the outside layout of this one much more than the one at WDW. I am surprised it was still closed. I know it closed while I was out there in January to take the holiday decor down. I can't believe it wasn't open yet. The thing that really stinks about DL is they close a TON of rides down for refurb in the winter. Im guessing it is because DL relies so much on locals for their business. The heels photo cracked me up! People walk around DL like that ALL the time! I always joke they are headed to club 33 so they have to be fancy lol

The heels.....lol! We just returned from WDW and that was one thing we all noticed, no heels on anyone! But at DL, you see them all the time. All we can figure is that some locals really want to look good. ;) The thought of heels at Disney makes me shudder.

I know how you love Small World, but i bet you would enjoy seeing it at least once there.
It is different and similar...thats the only way to describe it. I really enjoyed it though and I am sure going back would be enjoyable as well getting to get to know the parks more and doing some more new things.

Lots of locals there, so I guess they do have to keep them happy.
It amazed me all the strange shoes people wore. Well not strange, just not park shoes. I saw slippers, heels, cowboy boots, clogs, just a huge assortment and many that i couldn't wear for more than and hour or 2 of walking.

I'm all caught up. You can post more now. I'm glad to see Mickey still has a house.

So glad...I was waiting on you. :rotfl:
Yes, Claire was worried where Mickey would live, so I should show her that picture.

It's crazy the shoes people wore at DL. Just a different type of people there. Lots of locals for sure.

Hi Jen, I'm finally here. Better late than never. I started a new job and then I got really sick so I wasn't online much the past month.

I started your tr last night and just got all caught up. I'm loving all your pictures of California and it sounds like your trip is off to a great start. I'll do my best to stay caught up!

I am so happy to hear you got a new job. I bet that is a big relief!!!!
I hope to get this one done soon and start my WDW one, but you know how plans go. :scratchin

The whole area looked like a lot of fun and great for kids. I am so happy there still is a Toontown left somewhere! I think Claire would enjoy this area, though she is becoming more of a thrill seeker these days.

We then checked out Storybookland and it was a super long wait for that as well. UGH…..I will tell you now, we never rode it. It was either a super long line or it was closed for weather. It also seemed to be closed in the evenings, so my guess is that this ride does not stay open all day.

We then headed towards the back side of the castle and look who we found?

I assume this is where Anna and Elsa meet. A few days later while in line for another ride, I heard a Mom and daughter discuss possibly popping in over there to see them. She didn’t seem to realize that the line there was for THEM. I let her know that she could wait a very long time in line and she might want to ask how long the wait is before getting in line.

We also checked the wait for Pinocchio and Peter Pan. Both had extremely long waits.

The backside of the castle….we had something else in mind now!

Our plan? To go INSIDE the castle! They have a little passageway inside that tells the story of Sleeping Beauty. I had almost forgotten about this, but never fear, Cass was on the ball and took me through it!

This was really neat. Not the best attraction, but something different and again, I know this would really be a highlight for Claire. Heck it was a highlight for me and I am an adult. LOL. I had always wanted to go INSIDE Cinderella’s castle as a kid and see her “stuff”. But we all know you just walk through and unless you have a reservation to eat…or one of the lucky few now a days to win a castle suite night’s stay, you really don’t have any chance of going IN the castle. I think if WDW had had something like this, I would’ve been a little more satisfied as a kid.

Once we exited the castle, I found this dude and he was just standing there waiting for a fist bump!

A look up at the castle. What was neat about the inside walk through…you actually go up and over and come out the other side. I hadn’t realized that while we were walking inside of it.

We headed through the castle then and I just had to take a picture of this guy with his cute sweatshirt….and princess back pack!

AHHHH! Flowers in Feb!

Time to head to the front. We have to get some dinner and then watch World of Color!

Walt is still here!

And then a quick walk over to CA!

Our destination! Dinner was going to be had in Carsland tonight.

This area is so pretty at night.

Our final destination!

It must have been crowded that day (and not just the narrow streets making it look that way) if you couldn't do much in Toontown. How neat that they had the story of Sleeping Beauty in the castle. I wish that they'd do something similar to Cinderella's castle.

Oops, you and I were posting at the same time. I always chuckle when I see that sweatshirt after seeing the picture of the lady with it tied around her waist. :p Isn't it amazing how manhood gets thrown on the ground when it comes to carrying a girly backpack.

I saw the picture of Bug's Life and got excited! I love love love that movie. I hope that you get to see it while you are there. I'd love to look at more pictures of it.

Your pictures are great! I loved seeing Olaf! I wish they had him at WDW. I always take pictures of the bunch of balloons too...I love seeing them all together! :)

It was very busy back there in YOUR toontown!
I wish they had something like that at WDW too. I believe at DL Paris they have something with a dragon in their castle.

That's ok. I decided that I should put 2 up today since I didn't have time yesterday to post....at least I don't think I posted yesterday. :rotfl2:

That sweatshirt is funny and I saw that picture too.
Sadly we only walked through the bugs area once and I tookd a few pictures while on the go. It's mostly kiddy stuff in there but really nicely themed.

Olaf was too cute.
I always am trying for the perfect balloon shot, but I never seem to get the one I am looking for.

Catching up...
No, my children did not drop to their death on that parachute ride! LOL! It was pretty tame.

I am mad I missed the Beast's library in that animation building! I didn't see all that extra interactive stuff - we just did the drawing class.

Aladdin - great show! I can't believe Disney couldn't have trained a monkey for it to play Abu! ;)

I thought DL was more crowded than CA all the time too.
We loved POTC! I liked DL's better a little bit. Didn't notice Captain Jack looking so bad!

Toontown is a great place for pictures, isn't it? You got some GREAT ones! It's so colorful and fun in there.

Olaf is super cute!

I was sad IASW was closed for us too.

Disneyland's Toontown looks so much nicer than WDW's. Although I really liked Toontown a lot better than Storybook Circus. There's really nothing that makes me want to go back there now. I loved going to Mickey and Minnie's houses.

That is so cool you get to go inside the castle there.

Cars Land is very pretty at night.

So Glad they didn't plummet to their death!

It's really a neat area. I had no clue any of that was there.

Aladdin - great show! I can't believe Disney couldn't have trained a monkey for it to play Abu! ;)

You would think!

It was more crowded for us too for sure!
I only noticed him the second time. He was really dirty looking. Maybe they cleaned him up later. LOL

It sure is. I would like to spend some time back there when it is less crowded!

Olaf is super cute!

I was most bummed about that being closed. It's such an icon with Disney.

It is nicer back there. Had WDW had one like that I doubt they would've torn it down.
The castle is pretty cool and I say once again that I was impressed much more with it than I thought I would be.
Carsland at night is beautiful!!!!

How neat you can go inside the castle! I wish they would do something like this in WDW. LOVE your Aladdin pics. That looks like an awesome show. I would love to see it on Broadway.
