Hi all!

On our next trip it'll be me, DH, our DD who will be 15 and our DS who will be 4. We'll be staying in a one bedroom villa. DD will not share the sleeper sofa with DS (I don't blame her as DS is a wriggle-bum as most little kids are!). So I'm wondering what others do in the same situation? DS sleeps in a toddler/junior bed at home. Can Disney supply a rollaway bed or something similar? Would the pack n play be too small, maybe?
Any advice greatly appreciated!

Which resort are you staying at? Some, animal kingdom kidani and bay lake and maybe a couple others, have a sleeping chair in addition to the sofa pull out.

We have DD17, DS11, DH and I. When we vacation, I sleep with DD in one bed and DH sleeps in the other bed with DS. You could do the same, perhaps.

Another option would be to bring a sleeping bag for DS to sleep in (we did that at times, DS thought it was a big adventure when we did that. If you have a small airmattress or pool float you could also use that.

It depends on the resort. DVCs don't (at least didn't used to) have rollaways available. So we would bring an inflatable single mattress. The resort hotels have them available, but there might be a fee.

Once the kids got to old to sleep with each other then we just sleep like another poster. Me with DD and my DH with DS.

I'ts only for vacation, not forever.

Is there one king bed or two double or queen beds in the bedroom? If its a king bed I would just put little guy in bed with you. If it's a double or queen, adults get one and he gets one. Teen on the pull out, There are some really good air mattress out there that would also work. He is too big for a pack and play.

I would tell my 15 year old to suck it up. I don't think the 4 year old is old enough for it to be weird. Annoying, maybe. But he's a little kid. Can you ask for a rollaway/cot? I guess I could sleep w/ DD and have DH sleep w/ the DS.

We either share with each kid or I have rented a toddler bed for my little ones before. That worked great, a real bed for everyone.

Thanks for all responses! Should've said we'll be staying in a one bedroom at BWV. So there'll be a ginormous king size bed I'm sure and a sleeper sofa. Good idea about an air mattress! Or sharing one parent with one kid. I'll have a think about it!
Thanks!

If you have allergies or are otherwise sensitive to odors, keep in mind that a new air mattress might smell. I know people that got one and couldn't use it right away. So if you order a new one and have it shipped to the resort, that could be a problem, depending on your family. There are other families who are not sensitive to odors.

Also keep in mind that if you do this, you need to bring your own bedding for it.

We have this: http://www.amazon.com/Regalo-Cot-Portable-Royal-Blue/dp/B000H1MRJO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1395852997&sr=8-2&keywords=regalo+my+cot It fits in our checked bag and we have our youngest sleep on it -- though it's big enough for my 5 year old. You could always order it online right before your trip and ship it to the resort that way it's waiting for you. A crib sheet set fits it perfectly.

I'll definitely check this out. Thanks for the link!

I second this! My DS is 17 and DD is 4. We bought one of these and it worked great! Folds up small so you can stash it away when not in use. It folds up like a camp chair so easy to open and close.

Something we used to do is just ask for extra sheets & blanket. The cushions you will take off the sofa bed for your DD to sleep - put them on the floor, wrap in sheet, give him pillow, top sheet & blanket and he has his own little bed.

This might be the easiest and best thing to do! Thanks for the idea!

This might well be the easiest thing to do! Thanks for the idea!

Im sorry but if im staying at a villa onsite and im paying villa onsite prices I would expect disney to cater proper beds for each in my party. I am so having difficulty accepting even one quuen bed and pullout sofa for suites etc!!! Tell me this doesnt suck. Spending hundreds of dollars on one night to sleep on a pullout couch!!! Oh my giddyaunt! Give me a bed for each on my party (5).

It doesn't suck. My two girls love camping out in the living room while dh and I enjoy having a private bedroom. If it doesn't work for you, it doesn't work for you but there are other options available with different configurations. But given this is your first post and you are pot stirring I'm sure you wouldn't be interested in actually looking into these options
