I apologize if I posed this in the wrong thread- If so, please let me know.

I am having an issue with one of my family members getting added to my Friends and Family list. His wife, the purchaser of the tickets and main owner of their MDX account, shows up on my list, but he does not. I've asked her if she created a profile for him, she said yes and that he shows on her end. I made sure she bought TWO tickets, she assures me yes. I've tried sending email planning requests, and she's approved them, but he still doesn't show (in fact, he falls off my list entirely after she "accepts" in the email). Ive tried manually adding him on my end with their ticket number, but it gives me the error saying the ticket is already assigned. I've waited about an hour to see if it was just a technical glitch/if it took some time to sync, and he still doesn't show. Does anyone know how to fix this? I tried calling Disney but they had a 20 minute wait time for technical support. Figured I could much faster get the answer here! Thanks in advance!

Does she "manage" him? That might be the issue. He may need his own account, which opens up a whole other set of issues. Best bet is to call. Make sure you have the other parties email or reservation number. I've been down this road before. Disney tech, at best, is highly glitchy. She may have to do the arranging of plans if she manages him. Tech may he able to sort it out.

@Capang I do believe she does manage him, yes. That could be the issue. I was hoping I didn’t have to wait 15 mins for tech support, but maybe I need to just bite the bullet and call back (or wait til later when call volumes are lower). Thank you for your input!

Actually, it sounds like he has his own MDX account and is linked to his wife. That’s why when she “accepts,” nothing happens. Ask for an email address for him that he used for his own account and invite him.

If he has his own account linked to his own email address you will have to send an invite to him. He will then have to log in and accept. If he is managed by his wife then as long as the two of you are connected you can go into the My Family and Friends portion of MDX, click add guest, and then under 'find through my connected guests' he should pop up. We are planning a big family trip at the end of the year and I just learned how to do this. It makes it nice that everyone doesn't need their own account. I can go in and make FP's for everyone even if they're managed by another account holder.

Yes this is what I was hoping to do too. We have a group of about 20 of us for after our Disney Wedding going to HS one day. She created the accounts for them both, I thought, but perhaps he does have his own account. It’s so strange to me that she manages his plans but he’s not showing up, but she is. I tried the “add through connected guests” thing also and it’s not recognizing him. The only thing I can think of is maybe he did make his own account in the process of them buying their tickets. OR, he doesn’t have a profile after all, like she said he did (maybe she’s just confused, idk). I’m really scratching my head with this one!
