ISP Help!!!

We finally cancelled our AOL service after hackers had gotten into our screen names 5 times!

Please tell me who you ISP is and why you like it. We were looking at optimum online but I don't think it is worth the price.

Also....if there are any computer experts out there, would we be safe going back to AOL but just changing our screennames??

It's not the ISP you will have problems with.

You need to get yourself a firewall application. Any ISP can get hacked.

These are the main two firewalls that get sold.

As to ISP's are you looking at high speed or dialup.

I'm assuming high speed due to the fact that hackers usually won't waste their time on Dial Up.

If so go to www.dslreports.com. Up at the top, enter in your zip code. Then you can find what's available in your area and what other people think of it.

Before we had a cable modem, we used Earthlink and I really liked it. I never had one problem with their service in the 5 years that I used them.
