Hello!!

Was watching the Podcast and during the discussion of the new Grand Floridian Villas - Kevin mentioned the guide said you can isolate your points in regards to booking 11 months out as owners (when only buying a small contract - 25 points is the minimum they said).

What does this mean? Isolating points? To isolate your points?

Newer DVC owner and I have not heard this before.

Thanks!!!!

That sounds like they were just referring to Home Resort Priority and used a term not normally associated with that. But I haven't watched the Podcast to see if that was actually the context.

well on the podcast he clearly said that by having the small number of points (25 was the reference given) that you would then have the ability to book the home-resort window of 11 months using ALL of your points, which we all know is not the case.

Either he was confused or the guide was misinformed.

Sure hope it wasn't a deliberate sales ploy to get him to purchase with the intention of having the home resort advantage for all the points. That would be shady.

Can't you transfer points one time from one contract to another? Say you have AKL 160 Pts and buy VGF 25 points. Could you transfer points from the AKL contract to the VGF contract so then you'd have enough points in the VGF contract to book at the 11 month window there?

If you are a VGF owner and you have AKV points transferred into your DVC account, they remain AKV points and the only place you can use them to book 11 months out is AKV.

Whether they are banked, borrowed or transferred, DVC points keep their home resort identity.
