ISO of info about Lightning McQueen apprearnces

I can't find any information on the DL website about Lightning McQueen at California Adventure. I understand he's there and my DS is a HUGE Cars fan so we definitely want to make sure to catch him but I'd like to know when he's out and about. TIA!

i read on another board that this was the last weekend that Lightning and Mater were going to be out.

When you get to the parks, you can get a park times guide at the gate. It will tell you what time they are out. It also has times for every other show, parade, etc in both parks, and other general info on where to find characters.

Lightning and Mater drive up from the pier area, and park across from the Golden Dreams theater. Its a mad house when they arrive, and everyone just crowds around for pic's. They dont have lines like they do for other characters. But, they are super cool!

Oh no!! I sure hope it isn't true!! I can't believe they would pull such a popular character appearance, especially when summer is just gearing up.

I can deal with a mad house if I'm prepared for it. I just want DS to get to see them. I'm sure it is way cool! Here's hoping they'll be around in June!

We were there a few weeks ago and we saw them. We were there waiting so my son was the first kid to stand in front of Mater to take a picture. Before I could snap it there were a ton of people jumping in front of my camera. I understand kids get excited but one man looked at me right in the eyes and then just stood in front of me and put his kid in front of mine to take a pic. I couldn't believe how rude he was. We waited awhile and then it seemed like most of the inconsiderate people were gone. Parents were actually telling their kids to stand back and wait for others to take pictures but there wasn't a whole lot of time before they left. I really wish they would form lines and maybe leave them out there for longer periods of time. I understand that characters in hot costumes don't want to stand out in the heat for too long but these are just cars. I have to assume that there is some reason for it but I don't know what it could be.

I really hope they are still there when you go. That was the highlight of the entire trip for my 4 year old.

We saw them on Saturday and it was nuts. DH asked CM if there was a line and she said its just a free for all. Unfortunately, you're probably going to end up with other kids in you pictures as well. It's really crazy at first but if you wait a bit you'll probably be able to get a photo of your child. I took a few in the beginning and then waited a bit, I was actually able to get a couple of photos with just my kids. I really hope they are still there - my son was amazed and couldn't believe it.

If you are careful, you can get a picture without a ton of other people in it.
