I am looking for an easy dip recipe that I can put out with crackers. This will be for a party that will be outdoors, so something that will not need or not much refrigeration, and one that both kids, and adults would enjoy.

any kind of salsa would do (tomatoe, tomatillo, or fruit), or maybe an olive tapenade.........maybe a honey mustard kind of dip or a bean dip. Hummus would work. Hmmmmm I can't think of any others that don't have to be refridgerated.............would it be possible to make a dip that the whole bowl could sit down on top of another slightly larger bowl with ice in it?

I make an easy dip with cream cheese and green olives. Put a small jar of green olives into a food processor and chop. Add softened cream cheese (usually an 8oz bar) and blend. If you need to make the cream cheese softer, just add a little of the olive juice. This dip is very good with crackers or fritos.

I agree - get a bigger bowl, fil with ice, put dip bowl on top.

I chop up deli ham super fine, chop up an onion, super fine. Mix both into a brick of softened cream cheese.

Form into a ball and serve with crackers.

YUM!

I like to set out a block of cream cheese on a small plate with a bowl of green pepper jelly with the crackers.

Dice a vidalia onion or two and saute it/them in olive oil and adobo seasoning until they are transluscent. Stir this into sour cream.

You don't have to worry about this not being refrigerated because it will be gone faster than the time it took you to make it.
