We think it was some terrible stomach bug. We were in misery!!!

I noticed that you are from Charleston. I visited there once and got CHOLERA!!!

DH says they are going to leave me home next trip!!

CHOLERA? I didn't know we( UNITED STATES) still had Cholera! What year was that? I thought that was in Africa or South America. What exactly is Cholera? I have just heard it is highly contagious, (I think) not an expert. Sure hope your next trip goes better.

It was several years ago. I don't know much about it - except how sick it made me. I visited every bathroom in Charleston! I finally ended up at the hospital. I was very sick and then weak for over a month. I got it from some bad shellfish. YUCK!

GREAT IDEA!!! Maybe the DIS can start a "pity fund" collection for me !!!

Seriously, I think I have talked DH into trying again next year. We had planned to go every 2 or 3 years, so perhaps this will work out better!!!

When I'm sick I want to be in my own bed with my own pillows and blankets to cuddle up with. It's miserable to be sick on vacation.

We were very pleased with the CSR Housekeeping staff. They kept us stocked up with extra pillows, sheets, blankets, and a bedspread once. DS4 got sick in the bed during the night more than once. (This virus was very bad. He was vomiting during his sleep.)

Once, when the nice lady from housekeeping brought us a whole new bed set-up in the middle of the night, she took one look at us, said "please let me do it for you", then proceded to strip the bed and change everything out for us.

I'm so sorry you were sick. It's the pits to be at the most wonderful place on earth and then not be able to fully enjoy it. I am glad that mousekeeping was so helpful.
