Please help, need to decide which park to pick. We only have one day for Universal. My DH and DD (5) are traveling to Disney in November, and I need to decide which park to choose: Islands of Adventure or Universal. This would be our DD first trip to either park. Please help! Thanks! :confused3

Well you can purchase a 2-park 1 day pass and see the highlights of both. IOA has a lot of more thrilling and water rides but there's still plenty of kids rides and play areas to explore as well.

I reccomend doing both parks

I agree with ChrisFL, also, scroll down you will find the exact same thread like this with a lot more detail. IOA if you can't do both. IOA is THE best park in the world.

I did both parks when I went but be warned doing both parks kills your feet especially of you want to do everything. Either way it was worth it for me. GET ON HULK! It is an awesome coaster. Also I recommend getting the express pass because with the express it's almost always a walk on for the rides you use it on.

Personally, unless your 5 year old is bored with the 4 Disney Parks, I would wait for Universal/IOA until she is older (maybe 11+). By the time our son was a pre-teen he was a bit tired of the rides, etc. at Disney and US/IOA was a pleasant change with new experiences. We had friends with young children such as yours and they took 2 days away from Disney on their week trip to go to US/IOA and they wished they hadn't. When we caught up with them later, they said they should have stayed at Disney the whole time and saved US/IOA for the kids when they were older.

IOA And USF are both good for kids. They both have great things for the kids to enjoy. My daughter (5) loves the parks. ET (or ET's babies as she says) si the one thing she loves more than any amount of pixie dust.
My advice is get their early, and do IOA First. That is the park that gets the most traffic the fastest. Child Swap is a blessing for you and your spouse that may want to do the bigger rides. There are 4 playgrounds for your little one to enjoy, and a few really great rides (spiderman, Pterradon flyers, Flying Unicorn) besides all of Suess Landing.
Pick a time that will be slower for the parks, and enjoy it.

Well i've never been, this March will be the first time we go. Our kids are 2, 5, 7 , and 10. None of them will go on rollercoasters or big rides. So we are doing a 1 day 2 park pass! We are going to go into IOA first and do Breakfast with spiderman, cat in the hat and thing 1 and 2. Then let ds10 see the spiderman 3d show, check out superhero island, and we'll go over to suess landing which has alot to offer little kids. Then we'll go over to Us. Which offers plenty for everyone. Dora is there, Barney , Curious George, rugrats, shrek, donkey, Jimmy neutron, oohhh I hope we get to see them all. The animal planet live show sounds neat. So doesn't the shrek 4d show and the jimmy neutron ride, which says it blasts through all different nick cartoons. Go you'll enjoy! I sounds good to me. And I never thought of getting the express pass, but for 2 parks in 1 day, that would probably be the best thing to do, like a previous post said!
