While in Grand Cayman has anyone done the Island Tour & Stingray City "Observatory". What did you think? DD6 would like to see the rays (so would I!), but neither DW, MIL, nor DD would ever swim with the stingrays.

I just read the description of that excursion on the DCL web site. It's $55 for adults and $45 for kids (age 3-9). Unless you want to see all those other sites, why not just go on a regular Stingray City excursion? It's less money, and you DO NOT have to get into the water with the stingrays. I've heard that the crew on board the boat will often bring a stingray over to the edge of the boat so the people who stayed on the boat can pet it and see it up close. Also, if you decide at the last minute that you'd like to give it a try, you have the option to get into the water, too.

But if you do want to see those other sites, then I guess the Observatory excursion would be fine, although it sounds as if you'll only see the stingrays through the semi-sub, through the glass.

I hope you have a fun time, whichever you do :)
