Island Garden View or Ocean View?

We had an island garden view overlooking the luau.. 7th floor. I could see the ocean while laying in bed. However, I had requested a luau view for my 6 night stay. The first night we had a 16th floor facing the road and island.. it was not terrible but once we moved to the luau view it was like night and day as far as the in room experience. We were able to open the balcony doors and listen to the live music every evening. If you can get that side it is so worth it!
