Island Dining Breakfast Buffet

Could someone give me a heads-up as to what the breakfast buffet is like? What types of food are out?

The picture at US website, shows Scooby-Doo. Are there characters there?

I ate there in 09, and it was really good. They had eggs, breakfast meats and other typical breakfast food. I think the characters are more for dinner than breakfast

yea, andy had breakfast with me that year.

we both loved the breakfast buffet at Islands.



characters are only during the dinner hour.



last year on a sunday night, besides myself, only 4 other tables were occupied.

scooby spent loads of time with me.


the buffet has eggs/omlets made to order by a chef, bakery goods, toast, breads of all types, fruit, yogurt, meats, pancakes, french toast, orange juice, etc types, potatoes, tomatoes, cereal (hot and cold), and more..

It's now up to $19.50 for adults and $12 for children.

The juice bar thing they have is good too. You can mix and match different juices. I fell in love with mango OJ.

Yes, you definitely get the discount at the Islands.

on my 8 day stay last year at rph, i ate at the Islands on 5 different time periods.

they gave me the discount each time.
but, i had to show it to the waiter before i ordered they told me.

one time i didn't but they rewrote the bill and gave me the discount for the AP.

Awe, got it!! We didn't get discounts at Mama Della's, Jake's or RPR poolside our last few trips so I just figured it was all on-site places. Great to know if we end up at the Islands!

since the coupon states based on 2 entrees ordered, it doesn't help me.
i go solo so the ap gives me the 10% off.

We are not big breakfast people, so we normally just have something quick up in the Orchids Lounge, but when we arrived at the hotel last October there were vouchers for us to each have a free breakfast 6 times in our two week trip. Never actually found out why!!!

So we did.....and it was beautiful. Something very odd having potatoes with onions for breakfast

Also had the smoked salmon which was just gorgeous.

Would definately pay for it this year, it was worth every penny.....or cent
