Is your workplace like "Office Space?"

For those who have seen "Office Space," is your workplace like that?

Do you stare at the cubicle walls for hours on end?

Are you called into work on the weekends?

Are there people trying to steal your stapler?

Do you have to put cover sheets on TPS reports?

You know tthat is one of Jeff's favorite movies... and he says his work is like that..

He does stare at his cube... (well to be more accurate, he watchs the tier I and tier II Help Desk people stare at thier cube, and he chases them back on the phone!)


Called into work on the weekends? He just finished a double shift maybe 5 minutes ago... 7 am to 11 pm. (At least he was able to do it from home, but it is still work on weekends!)


As for the stapler, no.. but he does find his slinky's all over the place...


No cover sheets for TPS reports, but he does have to to a 5 part phone matrix, report, and a 3 -4 part customer survey thing..


He loves the part where the guy is doing everythign to get fired.. not showing up, coming in with shorts/flip flops on when everyone else is in a suit, and my personal favorite.. deboning the fish in his cube!

OMG, "Office Space".

I LMBO one night when a friend hosted movie night and showed this one.


Our personal "office space" has had:

* A love triangle
* A model wanna be
* A guy who put together two websites on company time and on company computers
* A guy who stashed a woman's string bikini in his cabinet
* A "suspected" madam
* A guy who spits in our lunchroom sink while others are around
* A woman who freaked once because she was trying to find "her" chair (they are all the same BTW)
* A woman who had to have everything in complete order or she would freak (not the chair lady)

This movie is a classic! If you work in an office you should watch it. My old boss used to be just like Lumberg, coffee cup and everything. We just ignored him.

oh god yes!!! we always joke about how we want to turn our office into a reality tv show or a sitcom.
