Hi. I am just putting the last decorations now, on the tree except for DD 16 and DD20, they have thier own that will be put on tomorrow night. I am getting slower every year, what ever happened to Nov1.I also hope to have the house all decorated by the weekend then I can do baking and christmas scrapbook. But I would swear that there is a christmas theif, it seams I have less and less decorations every year, It must be all in my head.

Wow you're early! Other than the outdoor lights we don't decorate until the first weekend of December - this year we'll start on Saturday. Did seem to sneak up on us though - November disappeared!

Ours are all up incl. tree & outdoor lighting and have been up for a couple of weeks now. I igenerally try to make my DH wait until Nov 15, but he snuck them in a little early this year. If he had it his way he'd be putting Christmas decorations up as he takes the Halloween stuff down on Oct 31.

I like all mine up by my birthday which is Nov. 13th.

So yes we are totally decorated and I love it:love:

No. And I'd prefer to wait until AFTER Dec 1st, but my husband wants to put it up this weekend.

Starting this weekend ~ like to wait until first week of December so I don't get too tired of them all :)

Not yet... but hopefully starting with the outside lights tomorrow.

We also start around Dec. 1.....but I got the tree out last Sunday...I was bored. It will get decorated tomorrow. I don't think we will put lights outside this year....it's now to cold for me to be out.

We're plannig to do the decorations tomorrow. We usually do it the first weekend of December....:santa:

We put our tree up right after the Santa Claus Parade in Toronto. It's our first ever artificial tree which is pre-lit and we love it. After having a real tree for fifteen years we thought we'd miss it, but I hate the thought of someone growing a tree just to be cut and used for a short time and then that's it.....well at least they get recycled.

Anyway, the entire theme is Disney but with a folk art twist. I have those red cranberry Mickey heads, and the tree branch Mickey heads, and the rustic Mickey head shaped bells all over the tree. These are my big ticket decorations because they are pricey and I try to pick up two or three on each trip.

The rest of the tree has cranberry garlands, lots of gingerbread men (that I picked up on sale last year at Starbucks), and lots of sugared candy canes. It's a nice tree, and we're really happy and no needles.

Last year on our trip which was exactly a year ago now, we picked up the Mickey head candy cane lights which you stick in the ground. So those are up going down along the driveway. It looks really nice.:santa:

Man! You are all such Early Birds! We don't put up our outside lights until The SECOND weekend of December (if we even put them up at all) And we never do the tree until the kids are done school for Christmas break! I really dislike how commercialized Christmas has become and that everybody seems to think that Christmas needs to be a month (or two) long celebration! IT'S ONE DAY PEOPLE! :confused3

Although Christmas is one day - Advent is the preparation for Christmas and occurs for 4 Sundays before. So putting up decorations and lights "early" is not about being sucked into the commercial side of the season - it's about preparing for a very important day.

I've had my lights on our balcony up for a couple weeks, but I finally put the finishing touches of candy canes, stars and santa's head up tonight. Also I put my new Mickey Mouse wreath from DS on the door to our apartment. I tried to put the tree up, but our tree decorations (minus our recently acquired Disney Decorations) are all at the In-Laws! Booooo!

::yes::

almost. Couple more things. I have all my cards done though!!!

We just put up the tree. But we did it to get it out of the way. Frankly, we're busy this year, and distracted. It's not gonna be an especially jolly Christmas, thinks I.
