We got a Walk Around World In Brick in 1994 and it was my understanding that after brick(E02211) was in place for 10 years contract would be considered fulfilled and brick could be removed. On our June 1994 trip our brick looked good and was still there. So I was just wondering if anyone's brick has been removed?Has yours been in place for more than 10 years?Do you you think they would sell you your brick rather than just remove and trash it?Thank you for your replys and thoughts.

We have two bricks. One is the special brick they did in granite for the 25th anniversary in 1997 and one the following year for my father. They are still there and nobody has sent me anything about removing them. However, I have not hit the ten year mark. I don't think they will remove them since they stopped selling them and it would probably cost them more money to remove them then to just let them be and maintain them.princess:

I don't think they would sell them once they take them out. If it is still in good condition I don't think bricks will be removed.

as of july 2004 my block was still there. we purchased it in july of 1994. my family jokes that our block will never be removed bc its the first block after u go through security and it would be a pain to remove all the security to remove the block....haha!

Our brick is a little older than 10 and as of This past May it was still there and looked great!!!! but it doesn't get too much traffic as it is over by the monorail station in front of a tree. After our trip to Ohana this year we got off the monorail and found it I encircled it with the lei I'd gotten at the poly and took a picture. The brick lists myself and my X husband (dd father)on our 7th trip this was significant because he died last thanksgiving day dd never got a chance to go to WDW with him so this is really the only thing that connects the 2 of them to a place they both loved. If they ever dig up those bricks I'd pay to have it shipped to us until then we will continue to visit it every year to check up on it.

Is there any way to find your brick-I do not know if we can find the paperwork. thanks

Last year I went and the small store on the far right near the stroller rental is where they house the brick locater. I can't remeber the store name but it is right there either right before you go throught the turnstiles or right after. Just go to the cash registrar and ask for your bricks location and they will give you a map. Just be ready because the map gives general areas not specifics so be ready to realy look. Good luck.

I was told that they do not plan to remove bricks after the ten year mark, but placed a time limit on them to limit their responsibility. If the bricks deteriorate or they decide to remodel or build along the path, they will not have to maintain or replace them. If they hold up, they may be there much longer than 10 years.

Our brick was purchased in July of 1994 and, as of last week, it's still in front of MK. Hope it stays there for a loooong time!

Dh's and his family bought the brick in 1997, and in 2002, for our honeymoon, DH and I went searching for it...At MK, they gave us the map w/ the general area of where it is and we went searching.

It was at the Poly, the walk way btwn Poly and GF Wedding Pavillion (sp?) along the beach. It took us SUCH a long time to find it, but we did eventually and it still looked great! But we felt so bad b/c some of the bricks were under water (flooded path in certain sections), some were burried w/ sand, and others were half covered by the grass.

:(

Their brick was ok, it wasn't covered or damaged. I wish they still did that, I think it's a wonderful idea...but since they didn't have it anymore, DH and I just stuck w/ LaL tiles at Epcot...not as special, but.... it's something. :p
