Is your body proportionate?

As my body is shrinking I have noticed that my once very unproportionate body is gradually getting into proportion. I had once heard that to be in proportion your bust should be the same size as your hips and that your waist should be 10" smaller than that figure. My waist is now 10" smaller than my bust, but my hips (my trouble area) are 13" larger than my waist. But I am better off than I was before. So how about you, how proportionate is your body?

My hips have gotten smaller (can now fit on a chair without hanging over) but unfortunately will always be bigger than my boobs

I'm an apple! Probably will be a sausage in about 30 lbs.
Need to make it a bit into ONEderland before the hourglass starts to show up. It's been a long time since I had a waist.....I do remember once measuring 36/28/36.....and was a little bit overweight at the time. Who knows where I'll end up now (since I'm no longer a youngster)? I know going to CURVES will help get me there!

I don't measure, but I'm not very proportionate. I carry all of my extra weight in my torso, so picture an egg with legs and you have me. :) I'm large chested and large bellied, but have much smaller hips and legs. Pants are hard to buy right now, because if they fit in the waist they are way too big in the legs. Someone told me to buy maternity pants, but I'm not going there!!

I'm built the opposite to Jen - picture a triangle on legs!! But hopefully I'll get a bit more in proportion as time goes on!

I'm a pear ! But even when I only weighed 125 many, many years ago, I still had no bust, and large hips/thighs. Now don't get me wrong, I'm pretty happy about losing weight and inches, but the fact that my waist/bust have shrunk has not been helpful because the smaller clothes still don't in the hips/thigh areas. So my jeans are huge in the waist/abdomen but just a nice relaxed fit in the lower areas! Next size down is the same, and 2 sizes down are still a little tight in the bottom  So I have no clothes to wear these days, and don't really want to buy a bunch of new ones just yet.

I'm the classic pear! The one thing that I've noticed is that I'm not losing as much in the bust this time so things are a little better in proportion than before, but to be the same on top that I am in the hips would mean I would need a bust like Dolly Pardon!!
My husband would like that but I'm not sure I would want the responsibility of keeping those things leashed in and under control!!!
ROFL!!

I've always been top-heavy with a bigger bust and belly and narrow hips & legs, but I'm finally seeing a different since starting the South Beach Diet! I guess what they say is true about excess carbs collecting in your belly & that "apple shaped" dieters will benefit most from a low carb diet. I'll probably always be a bit "out of proportion" since I've always been a "d" cup, even when I weighed 130. But I've learned to live with buying separates instead of dresses and my bathing suit tops & bottoms in different sizes.

Nope, I'm not proportional at all. My waist is large for my weight, and I don't really have hips. I'm kind of a square. When I lose weight, I do become better proportioned, though my waist still stays proportionately larger than my other measurements.

OK - just looked at myself in the mirror - and I'm not a triangle, just a large shapeless blob with a large chest! LOL

Hope my shape starts to show through soon!
