Is WLV 1-br the same size as BCV or BWV? Room Request?

Originally we were not interested in WLV at all. However, this resort sort of grows on you. Now I think I will make ressie to get a 1-br for 5 nights around Labor Day weekend, even bypassing the temptation of getting a standard view 1-br that was offered by MS.

I know WL's rooms are smaller than BC or BWI. However, are the rooms in the villa similar size to BCV or BWV?

Also, is there any view that is better than others, or floors (for a non-smoking room)?

My understanding is that there are a few square feet difference in the size of the rooms between BWV, VWL and BCV. I don't recall the exact numbers. However, I doubt you will notice any difference.

Can't help with the view but there are lots of VWL owners who post here and I'm sure you will get several suggestions.

I own at VWL and been there a few times, 1 and 2 br. Also just came back from 2br at the BCV. I wouldn't worry about it. We didn't notice any differences. Both places are GREAT!

In a 1-bedroom - you can only notice a different in OKW vs all the other DVC resorts on WDW property - anything else is so small that I can't tell the difference.

try for a villa that looks out on the quiet pool. less than 1% - everything else is woods - if you can't get that - try for one that is close to the elevator.

I really like this place - you will enjoy not getting wet (when it rains) to get to a restuarant, shop, or just look around the place. Don't forget to watch the EWP at least once from the beach.

Thanks for the response. I also wanted to thank you for the great suggestion for the Kissimmi (sp?) map that i got by registering with the website you mentioned. I just got that, we will bring it with us on our next trip.

I believe there is approximately a difference of 10 square feet, VWL and BWV are 727 sq ft, and BCV are 719 sq ft. I'm going by memory here (can't find my list), but that's what I remember.
