We're staying at ASMo. Have never been to Whispering Canyon. Saw menu and it looks good but could easily be replaced.

My kids will be 9 & 6. Thought WC sounded like a fun place with them. Also figured DS (9) would ask for ketchup :rolleyes1 since he has to have it on everything!!

Is this place really worth the trip for dinner?

I would think so, especially with children that age.

I like Whispering Canyon too, and I like staying at budget resorts and eat at deluxe resorts. To me WDW is one big resort and the only time I spend in my room is when I sleep and take shower. Doesn't matter where my "bedroom" is as we can go to any part of the WDW resort to dine and sightsee.

Your kids will have a blast there! It is a lot of fun and really good food too! It was one of the best meals on our trip. We also stayed at ASMo. I scheduled WCC for the day we were going to be at MK. We just took the boat from the MK over to the Wilderness Lodge. It was a nice change of scenery and didn't take long at all.

How long would it take to get from MK to WCC? Would it be best to take the boat or drive?

You should go. We went for the first time in August. My kids were 9 & 4. DH was in a really really bad mood when we got there, and by the time we left, he was smiling. This restaurant is on our must do list now.

Taking the bus is considered to be the fastest way.

We liked the boat. It is a pleasant ride, and one time we were even "forced" to give right of way while the water parade passed by :)

As for WCC, we went for lunch when we stayed at the lodge in March, and liked it enough make the trip from OKW this past December. It will undoubtedly be in our regular rotation :goodvibes

The CM serving you may or may not be particularly rowdy (we've had both), but either way, you can't help but be entertained by the activity level around you.

My brother recently stayed at WL and he said taking the bus to MK was a lot faster. I didn't realize you could take a bus, I thought the boat was the only way. So if you're in a hurry, catch the bus.

Definately go! We went on the last night of our trip and it was the perfect ending to a magical trip! We all really enjoyed the food and atmosphere!

My husband and I enjoyed it very much and we didn't have children with us. Watching & cheering on other families' kids during the 'pony rides' was fun as well.

The boat ride over is our favorite transportation when the weather is pleasant.

Absolutly go! My husband and I go almost every trip and its an absolute blast especially for dinner. I agree with taking the boat, never had a problem, plus I absolutly cannot stand Disney's bus system.

Definately go. Its a fun place and an enjoyable time. The sweetpea really liked it a lot and has asked to go back on our next trip. Even if your server isn't the most lively/animated, just seeing the other servers and all the other goings on is worth it. The food wasn't bad either.

In my 3 trips there I've enjoyed it everytime. Dinner seems to be more fun IMO but I've only done lunch there once and we had a REALLY new CM who even with 3 big kids trying to cause mayhem was boring.
