Is Whispering Canyon too loud for adults only

DH and I are spending our 10th anniversary at WDW next weekend (woo hoo!). We are going to California Grill for our anniversary dinner, but will still have another TS credit to use.

Right now, I'm trying to decide if we should eat at Crystal Palace during our MK day (CP is a favorite of our family's). Or, if we should eat at WCC on our off-park day. I think that DH would like the skillet.

But I know this is a loud restaurant. I'm not looking for anything romantic. Just good food and lots of it.

TIA! :)

I've only been during lunch time and it didn't seem too loud to me at all. But we also had a very boring server. We asked for ketchup and only got ketchup ;) Personally I love CP though and wouldn't trade that one for WCC, but it definitely wasn't too loud IMO for adults (I went w/o kids myself)

DH and I went there in January. It was a fun place to be. We enjoyed being together and we were able to have a great conversation, and it wasn't too loud. Just don't expect a quiet romantic meal. We enjoyed the noise and the commotion, it was quite entertaining.

There are two seating rooms that are seperated from the main restaurant room where it gets rowdy. We've eaten in both, and it's very quiet back there.

DH and I love WCC and we have breakfast there during each trip (we don't have kids). We've also eaten there several times with other folks, all adults.

Thanks for all of the feedback!

We are huge fans of Crystal Palace. We eat there every visit. I just didn't know about trying someplace new. And DH has no opinion, of course. Or rather, he'll wait until right before we leave to have an opinion! LOL!

We actually had breakfast at WCC for our one year anniversary trip and loved it! We had a great time and why yes, it was a little noisy we expected it. Our waiter was a lot of fun and made everyone in the restaurant wish us a happy anniversary. They also gave us complimentary champagne!

No it is quite enjoyable coming from two adults.
We loved the food. It's a fun experience.
Enjoy!

We enjoyed our dinner @ WCC - we actually asked to be put in the dining area that overlooks the lobby area. It was nice, quiet and really relaxing. The food was fantastic & so was the atmosphere. Enjoy!!

We stayed at the WL in Dec 06 and had ressies for dinner here but once DH heard the ruckus from the lobby balcony on the 4th floor he said no way, lets go somewhere else...I was bummed because I wanted to eat there! Maybe I can convince him to go for lunch...it may be quieter

It depends on what you like!

For DW and I, WCC was fun even on our arrival day, when we'd been up since 1 AM. It was six o'clock in the evening, we were practically falling asleep in our plates, and it was still fun to watch all the antics!

But if you prefer dinner without a "show" and lots of shouting, running around, and laughter, then I'd avoid WCC.

CP is a great place to eat, if you like buffets! We found the ambiance to be soothing, at least at 8 AM.

I have been to WCC 3 x and did not find it loud at all.

Food is terrific.

I would definitely go there
