Is Whispering Canyon Cafe as much fun for lunchtime as it is for dinnertime?

We've got noon reservations for WCC and I've heard (hopefully not true) that the lunch time is not as much fun (with ketchup, straws, pony races, etc.etc.etc.) as it is in the evening. I'm worried about this and want it to be a fun time for my family. Should I try to change to evening or does it not matter? Anyone that can ease my mind would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Great question 2littletime. DW and myself was wondering the same thing because we thought about getting ADR for lunch also. Looking forward to responses. :sunny:

Hello!

We were there for our first time in February for lunch. It was very SLOW, but we went close to the end of lunch hour. There were some "antics", but hardly any, and our own waiter was new, so he told us he wasn't going to perform much.

I think lunch can be just as fun as dinner, but try to go in the middle of lunch when it's busier, not when it is dying down.

Good luck!

Thanks, Wazzo -- I can't believe your server actually told you he wasn't going to perform much. Geez!!! Anyhow, our reservations are at 12:00 noon so at least that's the beginning of the lunch time. Why oh why am I such a worrier!!! lol :confused3

12 noon should be perfect!

...and based on our experienced, maybe you should request a server who is not brand new!! :rotfl:

:Pinkbounc We had a great time at WCC at dinner. The lunch was a lot quieter...almost uneventful. We prefer dinner..it took almost 2 hours from start to finish but it was a real hoot!!!! :rotfl:

We had lively servers when we went there for lunch both times. I hope we have as good a time tonight when we celebrate my sons birthday.

Back from our dinner.

It was a lot more subdued than it was before. They had one pony race, they did a few ketchup gags, one napking twirling.

I also think they slowed down on bringing seconds on the skillet.

We did enjoy the gag they did with the birthday cake.

I liked it better before!!!!! We asked for a lively server to embarass my son who is turning 21.

I am very interested in what you are all saying. I have dinner reservations at Whispering Canyon on the Saturday night that we arrive. I am very excited to be able to go there as I have heard so many things about it. Is there anything that you can recommend either as food or what to expect? You are all saying how lively it is at night time. What do I need to expect?

Our experience has been that lunch is more subdued than dinner.
