I want to book at Wyndham Bonnet Creek, but I just can't seem to pull the trigger. I was quoted a great rate and love the location. This is our first time staying off property and all the reviews I'm reading are starting to scare me. The reason I chose WBC is because I know it had great reviews in the past and I always wanted to stay there. Now's our chance but I keep reading about the dirty hallways, broken furniture, peeling couches...it's just not instilling confidence in me.

Is it still a great place to stay and should I be excited about renting there? Or is there somewhere else I should be considering? Something keeps holding me back!

This is our 4th time here renting and we will come back again. The only thing broken in our unit is on one of the dressers has one cabinet pull that is missing a piece.

The common areas look fine to me in the 3 buildings I have stayed in or been in - 1, 2, 3, 5. For the same price I pay here, we could get a Dis Value. I will take the room and amenities here anytime!

We have always stayed in a deluxe room and are always more than happy.

Its up to you what to do, but you really can't beat the location. They are always cleaning the grounds and the people who work here are nice....

Its as nice this stay as when we first came here 2 years ago.

Haven't stayed There yet, but because I shared some of your concerns, we booked a 2 bedroom presidential in tower 6. Hoping that a presidential in the newest bldg will eliminate any of the run down room concerns.

I recently visited a resort where the room had peeling paint and banged up furniture. Perhaps you've heard of it, The Grand Floridian. It does have good location, though.

I haven't had similar problems at Bonnet Creek, but I have always requested the newer towers at check in.

In any case, remember, on the Internet people love to nitpick and point out every flaw. Plus, there wouldn't be a "we looooove bonnet creek" thread if the place was a slum.

Glad to hear some positive feedback--thank you! I don't know, maybe I am just looking for flaws because I'm scared to book off property.

Upatnoon, I totally hear you. First Disney resort we ever stayed at was the Polynesian. It was paid for by my husband's work--if it hadn't been, I would have been TICKED. The grounds are absolutely lovely but the room itself...pretty much like every Holiday Inn I've ever stayed in. Nothing special whatsoever. And the bathroom was bordering on nasty. I couldn't believe people willingly paid $400/night to stay there.

I think I am mentally ready now to move off property but I really want to know that it will be nice. ;)

We are staying at BC for 3 weeks in August. This will be our 4th stay there and our 9th to Orlando in 7 years. We either stay here or SSR. We are from UK and up until last year we could justify staying at SSR because of 42% discount and free dining. This year it was just so much cheaper to stay at BC. Also you get a 2 bedroom here compared to a 1 bed at SSR. We have always stayed in main building which we love. I would say without any doubt that the room at BC is far superior to those at SSR. I therefore would not worry about staying offiste. It does of course have a different feel. Whilst BC is huge, its all sort of in the same area and you can see the whole resort whereas SSR much more spreadh out. I think the pools at BC are much better.
So, I would not hesitate to book here, you will love it.

Agreed on the pricing, Portugal. Last year we rented DVC points at OKW--$700 for a studio for a week. I can get a 2 BR deluxe at WBC, same week this year, for about the same price. That's tough to resist!
