Is watching airfares driving you

Flying out of Pittsburgh all 4 of us 467 USD, taxes fees. Non stop both ways.

Not Bad!!

I am going to wait until the fall to try and get a better deal from YFC(Fredericton)but if none shows up it is off to Bgr(Bangor) for us.

Last year our trip was booked early dec, I waited until Oct to book my flights, the day I called they had just put through a seat sale on AC and I paid $640 Canadian for 3 of us to fly to MCO! Im going dec again this year and I really hope and pray I can get a deal like last years!!!

I find myself checking websites several times per day, "just in case they had a quick special". I think I am being optimistic! :rotfl2: We paid around $400 each taxes in last year from Halifax. The year before, we paid around $600 from Sydney--this year they are around $650 from Halifax! I did check with airmiles and we could get 3 seats but it was still going to cost over $1200 with fees and the one other seat. I keep thinking I will get a decent deal and I should save my airmiles for a time when I may be financially tight and may really need those airmiles to make the Disney trek. Maybe I should bite the bullet and purchase--or maybe I'll check for the next few days :teeth: . Let's hope for a break on prices soon!
SplashMom, are you using the mosaic westjet gold card? If you have that credit card, then each round trip is only 1600 airmiles.

And by some miracle, those flights popped up on Aeroplan with availability. :goodvibes So we've got YHZ-YUL-MCO Feb 5-27

Am I checking luggage, though?
:teeth:

You know you like to live dangerously!!! :teeth: :teeth:

I keep picturing a book along the lines of Where's Waldo, but only something along the lines of Look for the Luggage

I also bit the bullet big time, and got my flights home, way too expensive, but our lodging is free (my parents) so it nets out OK.

:wave2: Hi calgarygary,
I wanted to let you know that I got my trip for 1400 miles pp cause we are going in the off season! :Pinkbounc :flower: Thanks again

Well, I did it! I booked with Airmiles. :cool1: :cool1: I had enough for 3 tickets and a partial amount for the 4th. When I checked, it was much cheaper for me to just purchase the remaining airmiles and then just pay the fees/taxes for all four tickets! $700 total for 4!! It is such a relief! Now I can start the real planning--hmmmm, where to stay and where to eat! :cheer2: :cheer2: We stayed at Pop the last two years but I think we will try somewhere different this time. Hopefully, there will be some kind of deal announced in the fall for spring travel. We have travelled in March the last two years (school spring break) but we are waiting until April this year because our son is in university but still wants to come with us so we have to wait for him!

If you are considering using Airmiles, the required number of points will be increasing October 1 for most locations. Flying out of Halifax will increase from 1900 points to 2500 points. Quite a difference!

DisnJan, you're welcome. SplashMom, I know it's too late for you but you should look into the Mosaic Westjet gold card. The max. number of airmiles for anywhere Westjet flies is 1800. Not a great saving going to WDW but it does mean you could consider DL in the future if you wanted. Don't even want to think how much that flight would regularly be.

Thanks calgarygary! I will certainly look into it for the next time--I just need to do a bit of shopping to get more airmiles! :flower:
