Is VMK worth it anymore?

I totally understood. It isn't very nice to say something like that. Just my opinion. Not trying to fight, just saying.

Yes, I still do. It was about:

1) sometimes mean people can be treated nicely, and they will improve
2) the sometimes seemingly arbitrary warnings and bannings are to improve safety
3) expressing empathy for those who will not be able to be considered for CL until December
4) VMK is for everyone, all ages

And finally, comments about little things about VMK that make it special.

And I will try to follow my first instinct, and no longer feed the troll.
thanks man. just one thing, what does arbitrary mean?

I haven't been back to play for a few months. I just got bored with the same ol'stuff.

Yep, that's how I feel. There's nothing "new" to do really that interests me. Since conversation is difficult, I talk with my friends outside VMK.

Have you ever heard of a dictionary? :confused3 That is usually where I go when I do not know what a word means.

i want you to understand that when you need to wake up at 5:30 so you can press snooze till you wake up at 6 in the morning for school, you dont think of the things too often at 8:30

[*]Adult discrimination - VMK is a kids game, and Disney doesn't really want adults playing it. In fact, Disney has had a long history of discrimination against those over 18 or 21 or whatever age you need to be to be an adult, which is preposterous since we adults put more money into the company than any other demographic.

What I find interesting for a Disney game aimed at young teens, is that your character can have beasts, beards, and sexy bare mid-riffs, not something I think of in connections with pre-teens. Disney makes noise about VMK being for pre-teens but their actions say otherwise. pirate:

At the beginning of this thread I mentioned, Hug a Mean Person

Let me add what happened to me last night...

Ok, so I am in Halifa's room enjoying my Friday night. A boy enters and hits everyone with trade requests and has the cry emote above him every few minutes. Halifa, feeling sorry and generous I suppose, enters trade with him. Long story short...boy ran with Invisibility Pin. Halifa admitted probably his fault, but wanted his pin back just the same.

We saw him later in CL_Danola's room, Halifa asked for it back and the boy kept saying, "Give what back? Huh?" I stood next to that boy and said, "I think you need a hug" He immediately left the room.

He came back a few minutes later. He said, "I need a hug." Halifa messaged me and said, "You better not go over there and hug him!"

I did of course, that is what I do! I gave him a big hug and told him to do the right thing and give the pin back. I told him to friend me, and we would do it together. He sent request to me and to Halifa and he traded back the pin on Main Street.

Moral of my story, The "hug a mean person" is a powerful tool.

I think that's a great story! Way to go Pixie Bella - woot woot!

Thanks tolkien7, I just thought it was a story worth sharing

how do you hug?

VMK Hug Lesson 101

Ask person if they need a hug, or just surprise them!
stand next to person to be hugged
type in -hug- or -big her hug- depending on the need

Simple as that!

Happy Hugging! :grouphug:

You were so very correct Bella. I remembered you making this statement on a different thread.

I took your thoughts to heart last night when I encountered a tough situation in Castle Forecourt. My friends were being bothered by someone, and I tried your -hug-, after first saying I was about to do so. The person hesitated, and then became apologetic to my friends. It really did make a world of difference for that person!

They say you can't teach an old dog, new tricks. Well, this 'old duck' learned your lesson very well Bella. Thank you from both me, and the now "not so bad" person!

We really can make a difference in another person's life, by spreading a little pixie dust of our own! :wizard:
