Is valet parking worth the money?

Is it worth it to valet park? How close to the entrance do you get and where do they park your car? Anybody out there have a good or bad experience with this?

God yes, it is soooo worth it! Of course, I am saying that as a Premier passholder, which means I get it free. But really, it's not insanely more than preferred parking in the garage. You take an escalator up and you're right at the entrance to Citywalk (by the movie theater and Bubba Gumps). Sometimes the waits are long when you pick up your car right at closing time or during special events, but I'd rather be sitting on my butt and waiting than making that long walk to the garage on feet that are sore from a day of commando theme parking.

Glad for the feedback on this. We are going to Universal Parks during our trip to WDW in June and I was considering valet parking. We generally don't carry anything to the park except our camera and wallet since it's just a day trip. That really is quite a walk from the preferred or regular parking garage.

I think I'll splurge and go valet. We plan to leave before the park closes anyway as we have express passes.

It really is quicker,as long as the attendent is on the ball..I have heard of peeps waiting for 20min to get there car,and thats when they were slow..

We got AP's not Preimier, but it still cost around $10 to do..But saving the extra mile of walking is worth it...:thumbsup2

One night I waited an hour and a half because they forgot where they put my car. Didn't get refunded or even a "sorry" out of it. If I'm not staying at the resorts I would probably try it again since it was an isolated incident.

Good to see you Inkkognito. You've been MIA. How's the reporting on Orlando attractions coming along?:goodvibes

I'm still around but busy, busy, busy! I haven't been to US/IOA in way too long so I need to get over there for my Mummy and Hulk fix. Examiner is going great, and I've got another gig that has been keeping me even busier (not as much fun as writing about the parks tho').
